El espacio
Finca del Sol es un pequeño eco-lodge familiar ubicado en las laderas del Volcán Madaras, a poca distancia a pie de la playa, restaurantes y senderos.
Más de dos tercios de la propiedad de 11.5 acres está cubierta por bosque seco tropical, donde podrás observar animales increíbles como monos aulladores, conejos, ranas y muchas especies de aves y mariposas.
Contamos con 3 bungalows privados decorados individualmente y 1 habitación tipo loft. Todos son cómodos, limpios y ofrecen vistas impresionantes del atardecer sobre el Volcán Concepción.
Esta cabaña privada fue la última que construimos:
- Hermoso hexágono con techo de palma tejido a mano
- Paredes estilo adobe que mantienen el ambiente fresco todo el año
- Aproximadamente 75 metros cuadrados, incluyendo el porche
- Vistas espectaculares del atardecer hacia el volcán y el lago
No es raro ver y escuchar monos en esta zona diariamente. La cabaña está en la ladera, con brisas frescas y un amplio jardín privado.

La encargada de limpieza viene diariamente para asegurarse de que estés bien atendido. Si tienes preguntas, siempre hay alguien en el lugar para ayudarte.
La tarifa de limpieza incluye:
- Limpieza diaria del baño y arreglo de camas
- Limpieza completa al salir
Si necesitas sábanas o toallas nuevas, solo pide y con gusto te ayudamos si es posible.

Acceso para huéspedes
Tendrás acceso a todo el bosque seco tropical y tierras agrícolas orgánicas, donde podrás admirar la fauna local:

- Mariposas
- Monos residentes
Hay un área común donde puedes conocer a otros huéspedes y organizar tours o paseos por la propiedad para disfrutar de las flores y el ambiente de parque.
Nuestro lugar es muy relajante y perfecto para quienes buscan desconectarse. Hay mucho espacio para meditar, hacer yoga, disfrutar la naturaleza y conectar con la tranquilidad.
Hay conexión WIFI en la recepción, donde puedes conectarte si lo necesitas o disfrutar de un desayuno al aire libre.
Otras consideraciones
La llave
Está disponible en el sitio de 12 a 4 pm. Para llegadas tardías, debes enviar un correo para coordinar dónde recogerla. Aunque vivimos en la propiedad, entramos y salimos durante el día, por lo que agradecemos que comuniques tu hora de llegada.
Nuestros amigos caninos
Tenemos un par de perros amigables en el lugar, así que te sentirás como en casa.
Insectos
La propiedad es un bosque tropical exuberante, lleno de vida vegetal y animal. Los huéspedes pueden encontrar pequeños animales tímidos de la selva, como:
- Aves
- Mariposas
- Abejas
- Monos
- Ranas
- Sapos
- Arañas
- Pequeños murciélagos
A veces estos animales buscan refugio dentro de las casas. Ninguna de estas especies es agresiva, venenosa o peligrosa para los humanos.
En toda la isla solo hay un animal venenoso, la serpiente coral, que es tímida y rara vez se ve. Estas criaturas forman parte de la Reserva de la Biosfera de la UNESCO en Ometepe, un lugar lleno de belleza natural y diversidad.

The setting was beautiful. Quiet at night with incredible stars as no light pollution. Make no mistake you’re in the jungle sharing space with the primary residents….birds, cane toads, and so many butterflies. Not luxurious but absolutely comfortable. Walking distance to great local restaurants and motorcycle rental. We had an awesome stay and highly recommend this rental.

A wonderful stay in the nature! Finca del Sol is a very nice place where nothing is missing. There is unlimited free drinking water, a private cabana and a quick service by Miguel.

Tranquil almost idyllic place amid the trees, birds and butterflies. Nicely located on a little hill. Ample room, warm water available and even a small basin to do a some washing. Wifi is actually only to be used inside the cabin (outside is too weak). Communication went swift and smooth but on site they can only help you in Spanish. But honestly, I hardly saw anyone around. That said, it was a really lovely stay.

What an amazing stay!! The setting is just beautiful with incredible views of the volcano. I saw more butterflies here than anywhere else in my entire life! Our kids were attending the Worldschool hub in Ometepe, and this was the perfect location that allowed us to walk to school, restaurants, and into Santa Cruz where the beach is. The breakfast was great, and the staff were awesome!

Such an amazing place! I stayed for two nights and really could have stayed much, much longer. The surroundings are absolutely stunning, and it feels like the Finca del Sol is one big butterfly sanctuary. The grounds are extremely well maintained with beautiful tropical plants and flowers everywhere. My bungalow was fantastic and looked just like the pictures as well. Miguel was such a wonderful host who had great restaurant recommendations, and he also arranged a local hiking tour for me to the very nearby Maderas Volcano (the guide met me at the Finca, and we started our walk from the property!). The next morning, I went on a kayak tour (also arranged with Miguel's help) of the Istian River and saw some amazing wildlife. On my next trip to Ometepe, I will definitely be staying at Finca del Sol again!

Stayed here for one night and can't stress how beautiful the scenery around Finca del Sol is. The lodge is surrounded by tons of rainforest wildlife - so this is a great fit for anyone who loves the outdoors. Vik, our host, and Miguel were unbelievably kind and took the time to make sure we were comfortable during our stay by checking in, organizing ATV reservations, and a cab back to the ferry we needed to take to leave the island.

This place is amazing! Great location. Cannot recommend enough, our family was so thrilled without time in the jungle. Clean, so much space to run, chill, enjoy. Miguel was a fantastic host, he pointed us in the right direction to see monkeys and the best foods on the island! Stop looking and book here!

We had a brilliant stay at Finca Del Sol. The room was really nice and clean and the setting is beautiful, feels remote but Finca Del Sol is close to lots of good restaurants and scooter rental just outside the entrance! Staff were very friendly and Pablo was excellent and gave us lots of great tips of places to go and where to eat! We would highly recommend.
