Property Overview

Located 300 meters from Punta Uva Beach, Ginger & Cacao is a one-acre tropical retreat surrounded by lush jungle and landscaped gardens. The property offers Caribbean Sea views, two elegant villas, a shared swimming pool, and a pool pavilion with swinging daybeds.

Each villa includes:

• Air conditioning where specified
• A fully equipped kitchen
• A full bathroom
• Large decks with jungle, garden, or ocean views
• Hardwood floors and high ceilings
• Ceiling fans
• Large doors and windows with mosquito screens

This listing is for Villas Ginger and Cacao only. The White Cottage is not included.

Rental Options

Please contact the host regarding the following arrangements, as instant booking is not available for these options:

1. Rent the entire Ginger & Cacao property, including both villas and the White Cottage. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests, including adults and children.
2. Rent Villa Ginger or Villa Cacao individually. Each villa accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, including adults and children.
3. Rent one villa together with the White Cottage. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests. The White Cottage is for adults only.
4. Rent the White Cottage individually for a maximum of 2 adults.

Villa Cacao

Villa Cacao is positioned across the pool area from Villa Ginger and offers ocean, garden, and jungle views from every room.

The villa includes:

• One bedroom with a queen-size bed, curtains, and a large wardrobe
• A full en-suite bathroom with an adjacent outdoor shower
• A sitting and sleeping area with two sofa beds
• A second full bathroom
• A television screen with a bedding cabinet underneath
• A coffee table
• A fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher
• A kitchen, bar, and sitting area connected to a large ocean-view deck
• An outdoor dining area
• Large sliding doors and windows with sliding mosquito screens

The villa is ventilated by ceiling fans, a large air cooler, and a portable fan. It was built with a double roof and an open space between the layers to promote natural ventilation. Because of this design, air conditioning cannot be installed.

Villa Cacao shares parking below the pool area. A private path leads to the illuminated pool area. The route includes several block steps that transition to the grass surrounding the pool and pavilion.

Villa Ginger

Villa Ginger is nestled within the surrounding jungle, with views of the tropical landscape from every window and deck.

The villa features:

• Two bedrooms with queen-size beds
• Air conditioning in both bedrooms
• Ceiling fans for additional ventilation
• One full bathroom with jungle views
• A fully equipped kitchen with a dining area
• Two large decks
• Private parking for two cars

The front deck includes:

• A dining table with seating for four
• An umbrella
• A sitting area for four
• A bench

The rear bedroom deck overlooks the jungle.

A short walk along a paved path leads to the pool area. The path follows the driveway to a small bridge, then continues over several block steps to the grass surrounding the pool and pavilion.

White Cottage

The White Cottage is located across the pool area from the villas and is not included in this listing.

Built beneath large trees and facing east, the cottage offers Caribbean Sea views and refreshing ocean breezes. Large verandas with armchairs and tables provide a comfortable place to relax after a day at the beach.

The cottage includes:

• French windows overlooking the surrounding jungle
• An open-plan indoor and outdoor dining area
• A sleeping area with a queen-size bed
• A sofa
• A spacious full bathroom
• A walk-in closet
• A fully equipped high-end kitchen with a dishwasher
• Air conditioning
• Numerous ceiling fans
• Mosquito screens on every window
• Shared parking below the pool area

The White Cottage is suitable for a romantic getaway or honeymoon. To inquire about renting it, search for “The White Cottage, Punta Uva Beach, Costa Rica,” or contact the host.

Pool and Grounds

The shared pool area is surrounded by jungle and gardens and includes:

• A pavilion with swinging daybeds
• Chaises with side tables
• Umbrellas
• A leisure area for relaxing

The pool area may offer opportunities to observe capuchin, spider, and howler monkeys moving through the treetops. When certain fruits are in season, toucans may visit the trees, and sloths may be seen feeding. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but they can be a memorable part of the experience.

The grounds combine authentic tropical jungle with landscaped gardens around each house. Colorful and fragrant plants, along with the property’s cacao trees and ginger plants, inspired the name “Ginger & Cacao.”

Caretakers Cesar and Maribel maintain the property and live in a separate cottage near the entrance gate.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to:

• Their reserved villa or villas
• The shared swimming pool and pool area
• The gardens

The property is intended to feel like a home during your stay in Punta Uva.

Safety and Security

Both villas have safes installed in the bedroom wardrobes. Please secure all valuables and close and lock all windows and doors before leaving the property.

The host is not responsible for personal loss.

These services are not included in the rental price and are paid directly to the service provider. The host does not charge providers the standard referral commission for the area and is happy to assist with recommendations and bookings.
