The Space

Ginger & Cacao is a one-acre sanctuary surrounded by tropical jungle and landscaped gardens. The property offers views of the Caribbean Sea and is a short walk from Punta Uva Beach.

The property includes:

• Two elegant villas: Ginger and Cacao
• A White Cottage, which is not included in this listing
• A beautiful shared pool
• A pool pavilion with swinging beds
• The caretakers’ cottage, which includes the property laundry
• Landscaped gardens and tropical jungle

Ginger & Cacao is well suited to individual vacations, small family gatherings, intimate wedding parties, and honeymoons. It is also ideal for guests who enjoy outdoor adventures, nature, and observing wildlife in its natural habitat.

Rental Options

In addition to renting both villas together as a package at a special price, the following rental arrangements may be available. Please contact the host with questions or reservation requests, as instant booking cannot be used for these options.

1. Rent the entire Ginger & Cacao property, including both villas and the White Cottage. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests, including adults and children.
2. Rent either villa individually. Each villa accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, including adults and children.
3. Rent either villa together with the White Cottage. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests. The White Cottage is for adults only.
4. Rent the White Cottage individually. Maximum occupancy is 2 adults.

Villa Cacao

Villa Cacao and Villa Ginger are located on opposite sides of the pool area. Both villas feature high ceilings, hardwood floors, fully equipped kitchens, full bathrooms, large wooden doors, and spacious decks.

Villa Cacao offers ocean, garden, and jungle views from every room. A large ocean-view deck connects the kitchen, bar, sitting area, master suite, and al fresco dining area.

Features include:

• One master suite with a queen-size bed and drapes
• Large wardrobe
• Full en-suite bathroom with an adjacent outdoor shower
• Sitting and sleeping area with two sofa beds prepared for sleeping
• Additional full bathroom
• Television screen with a bedding cabinet beneath it
• Coffee table
• Fully equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher
• Ceiling fans throughout
• Large air cooler and portable fan
• Double-roof construction with an open space between the roofs for natural ventilation
• Large sliding doors and windows with sliding mosquito screens

Villa Cacao cannot have air conditioning installed because of its double-roof construction. The villa shares parking below the pool area. A private, illuminated path leads to the pool area. The path includes several block steps before transitioning to the grass surrounding the pool and pavilion.

Villa Ginger

Villa Ginger is nestled within the surrounding jungle, with jungle views from every window and deck. Air conditioning is available in both bedrooms, which each have a queen-size bed. Ceiling fans provide an additional ventilation option.

• One full bathroom with jungle views
• Fully equipped kitchen with dining area
• Two large decks
• Front deck with a table, four chairs, and an umbrella for al fresco dining
• Front-deck sitting area for four with an umbrella

• Private parking for two cars at the front of the villa

A short walk along a paved path leads to the pool area. The path has a slight incline and follows the driveway to a small bridge, then continues via several block steps to the grass surrounding the pool and pavilion.

Safety and Valuables

Both villas have safes installed in the bedroom wardrobes. Please secure all valuables and close and lock all windows and doors before leaving the property.

The property is not responsible for personal loss.

The White Cottage

The White Cottage is located on the opposite side of the pool area and is not included in this listing.

Built beneath large trees and facing east, the cottage offers beautiful Caribbean Sea views and refreshing ocean breezes. Spacious verandas with armchairs and tables provide a relaxing place to unwind after a day at the beach.

French windows bring natural light and views of the surrounding jungle indoors. The white interior, teak wood walls, and artwork reflect the owner’s vision of comfortable beach living. An open floor plan creates an easy flow between indoor and outdoor dining areas.

• Spacious modern full bathroom
• Walk-in closet
• High-end, fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher

The White Cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.

Pool and Gardens

Surrounded by jungle and gardens, the beautiful pool area includes:

• Pool pavilion with swinging day beds
• Leisure area with chaise lounges
• Side tables
• Umbrellas

The pool area is a wonderful place to observe wildlife. Large families of capuchin, spider, and howler monkeys may pass through the treetops in search of food. When certain fruits are in season, toucans may visit the trees, and sloths may be seen feeding.

Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, but they are a special treat when animals visit the property in their natural habitat.

The grounds are open to exploration, with authentic tropical jungle, landscaped gardens around each house, and plants offering abundant color and fragrance. The property’s many cacao trees and ginger plants inspired the name Ginger & Cacao.

Caretakers

The property is maintained by Cesar and Maribel, two trusted caretakers who live in a separate cottage near the entrance gate.

Guest Access

Guests have complete access to:

• The reserved villa or villas
• The shared pool and pool area
• The gardens

The hosts want guests to feel at home during their stay in Punta Uva.

Additional Services

Upon request, the host can assist with arranging:

• Yoga instructors
• Local transportation, including taxis and airport transfers
• Laundry services

These services are not included in the rental price and are paid directly to the service provider. The host does not charge providers the standard referral commission for the area and is happy to assist with recommendations and bookings.
