The Space
Staying in our farmhouse offers a unique living experience. The house is more than 100 years old, and despite its age, we have preserved its original architecture, furniture, and essence since it was built.
The Casona is surrounded by mountains, gardens, and coffee plantations. It is fully equipped to provide an authentic Costa Rican farm life experience.
Guest Access
Finca Las Mercedes covers 15 hectares and is a family-run and operated farm. It is located in "La Zona de Los Santos" in San Pablo de León Cortés, San José, Costa Rica.
We are part of the Tarrazú coffee region, widely recognized as one of the best areas in the world for specialty coffee production.
No four-wheel drive vehicle is necessary to reach the property.
Other Information
Our 15-hectare farm includes coffee plantations intercropped with avocado trees and guineo plants, creating a partially shaded and balanced environment ideal for specialty coffee cultivation.
As a family, we have been growing coffee for over 50 years and are now in the third generation of producers.

The place is beautiful, the scenery and the view are 100% worth it. The house has a lot of history, it is very nicely decorated and despite being many years old, it is in excellent condition. It is very clean and tidy. The only important thing to keep in mind (and this is stated in the listing description) is that it only has one bathroom. We would stay here again.

The Casona is charming, it is spacious, very nice decoration, the garden is very nice and the property is very nice where you can see a variety of coffee, there is a very nice coffee shop where you can have breakfast, the location is fantastic to get to know the area of the saints, also relatively close to Copey and Sangerardo de Dota an impressive place, therefore I highly recommend this and the host Melania is very friendly, therefore the accommodation is perfect.

We loved this house!! Spectacular surroundings, Melania is super friendly and the house is a gem. We were two families and everyone's comments were nothing but excellent. Beautiful valley, and beautiful estate. We loved walking and touring the coffee plantations. We were looking for a quiet place to relax, and we hit the jackpot with the choice. Thank you very much Melania for everything!!
