Family of 8 had a great time! Ample space, well decorated & clean.

Shawna’s place was perfect for our group of 2 families. Plenty of space to gather together, or have some quiet time. Close enough to stores and restaurants, beaches right down the road. And knowing there was security was an added comfort, although even without, area felt safe. I would recommend a 4x4 vehicle, as the hill up is pretty steep.

The house is beautiful, the location is great. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved everything.

We loved our stay in Playa Grande. The house was perfect for 2 families with kids. The house was clean and well stocked. We also loved the pool/beach toys that were available. The hills to get to the home can be rather intimidating, but the views make it worth it!

My family and I absolutely loved this home. We’ve visited Costa Rica many times and were searching for a peaceful, relaxing place to stay—and this house exceeded every expectation. The views were stunning, and the gentle breeze made mornings on the patio with coffee especially memorable. The home was beautiful, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and even included a water filter, which meant we didn’t need to buy bottled water. We spent most afternoons in the pool, taking in the mountain views and watching the incredible wildlife around us. You truly made this house feel like a home. Every little detail was perfectly considered, making our stay absolutely unforgettable.

We had a very relaxing stay with family and really enjoyed the views from the home. Playa Grande is a beautiful place with plenty to do in the surrounding area. The house and pool exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable! We truly had everything we could ask for. Shawna was a great host and was always responsive if we had a question. Fantastic host!

The Cara Cara home was very comfortable for our party of 7. There were little things that could use updating, like some towels are stained, the main couch has a cushion that the zipper is ripped, the stove knobs needed cleaning, and the refrigerator face was dirty and streaky. We brought our own toiletries, so we didn't need the shampoo and conditioner that is listed (but wasn't in the home). There are LOTS of bugs throughout - that is jungle life, so bring your bug spray. You will see gekos in the home and lots of spiders; again, we are in the jungle, so we knew that going in. When it rains, getting up the hill to the house is scary if you don't know how to use a 4x4 correctly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much. We cooked a lot in the home, used the pool and hte grill. We do recommend you arrive before it gets dark, we got lost, but Shawna was in constant communication with me.

Shawna's place was absolutely gorgeous and we had a great stay! The community and the views are awesome and Playa Grande was a great town. Shawna arranged all of our activities and transportation, all of which were amazing. The house was beautiful but the living room furniture cushions were worn. The outside balcony and pool area were spectacular. Would definitely recommend this place!
