A one-bedroom condo for two on an operational coffee farm in Naranjo, with sweeping views of terraced Arabica fields and Costa Rica’s Central Valley from 1,700 meters.
After leaving San Jose you pass through the ciudad (city) of Naranjo de Alajuela. You continue the vertical climb to more comfortable temperatures. Eighteen minutes later you arrive at the quaint village of Llano Bonito (beautiful flats) and in the centre of prime Arabica coffee bean growing country. Staying at the Petisa Coffee Plantation, you have a spectacular view of neighboring terraced farms and the Central Valley from an elevation of 1,700 M both day and night. The breathtaking view both day and night is but one reason for choosing to stay here The white iron gates swing open to reveal the 2 quaint casitas and the main hacienda where I live. To the left is The Chalet fronted with a large mango tree. To the right is Cucu (cuckoo) has since been expanded twice. See link below. Guest access A BRIEF WALKABOUT: After settling in, you will most certainly want to walk down the path through the coffee orchard. As you drop down you pass Limon and Naranjo (orange) trees. Arriving at the first shelf you look back up at the casitas and across the more expansive view of the valley to the cities of San Jose, Grecia, Atenas, and Escazu. We can't say enough about Nancy and the casa on Finca La Petisa. Every day started with a jaw-dropping sunrise, followed by an abundance of birdsong, visits from emerald swifts and anoles, toucans and other glorious flying creatures. Our dogs felt right at home here. The neighbours and local restaurants/sodas were welcoming. Llano Bonita is such a wonderful community. And if you enjoy mountains and sunsets, this is the place for you!

The stay was wonderful, the place cozy and quiet. A great experience. Doña Nancy was simply spectacular, friendly and helpful at all times.

We loved spending a month and a half in finca la Petisa! Thank you so much Nancy for your hospitality! Everything is as in the photos, a magical place. There is only one less, there is too much noise from the street, but that also makes it very accessible with public or private transport.

Nancy is a charm, always very attentive ...the place I really liked it is private, away from the city the rich climate, there is a restaurant a few minutes away where I ate a "Tablazo" that was wonderful! the most delicious pizza I have tasted

This was our second stay with Senora Nancy and it was just as wonderful as the first. Nancy and Juan continued to treat us like family and we're so grateful to have met them both. The chalet is very spacious and has extremely fast internet that remained consistent throughout our stay. We loved being close to the town of Naranjo (15 mins) as well as within walking distance of El Mirador Restaurante. The best part of the experience is definitely the view - waking up to sunshine and mountains every day is indescribable. We'll see you again soon, Abuela!

Nice house with all the amenities. The view was beautiful. Nancy was friendly and helpful, and her dogs are lovely. There is a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch within walking distance. A car is recommended to explore the area.

This place is at a beautiful location and Nancy and Jose were kind to us. We would have given 5 stars but we had a couple things that were rough for us. Too many spiders, tarantulas specifically, and our puppy was attacked by her golden retrievers which cost us $300 in vet bills and lots of heartache. Luckily our little girl survived but she is only a couple of pounds so it was very sad. Lastly, there was mold and dust which caused us issues. The stay is great for a short time but for us we could not stay very long. But again Nancy and Jose are kind and hospitable but I wish they would have helped when their dogs caused so much pain to us.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house is lovely and clean. We appreciated especially that Juan took the time to show to us the coffee farm. Would definitely recommend and come again. Thank you.
