Beautiful home and property in a great waterfront location. It was perfect for our large family. There is air conditioning in every bedroom which is a huge plus. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. There is also a caretaker who lives on the property, and she was very helpful whenever we needed assistance. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

Overall the hospitality was great and beyond. I was there with my family for my mom's birthday. We all have fun and felt right at home. The place itselft is beyond cozy and beautiful. The host beyond helpful and super communitive.

The place is impressive and very beautiful, only the images they have in the app are somewhat outdated, they need to be updated... some of the descriptions they give, we couldn't find them... we had some situations with the water, it ran out in different places in the house, and also the bathroom drain seemed to need maintenance. Kathy is very helpful, but it was beyond her reach to fix the problems! Still, we enjoyed our stay!

The house is very large and well equipped with everything needed for a vacation. The island itself is beautiful, and the restaurants were excellent.

One issue we experienced was very low water pressure in the showers, or possibly the shower heads need to be replaced.

Our main concern was the ferry information. This was our first time visiting Ometepe, and although the host provided a list of ferry contact numbers, none of them were working. We were not informed that vehicle space on the ferry needs to be reserved at least a month in advance. Because we couldn’t reach anyone by phone, we arrived on the day of travel and found there were no available spaces for our vehicle.

As a result, we had to pay an additional $70 (plus the regular ferry fare) to secure space to and from the island, and we also lost a day of our trip. On the return, we had to leave at 4:30 AM because that was the only available ferry option.

This year, ferry demand has been much higher than in previous years, and vehicle spaces have been filling up faster than expected, something we unfortunately had no way of anticipating. Full disclaimer: We stayed during rainy season, so that could effect the conditions I'm describing. On the plus side: this house was huge, even with 3 beds in the bedrooms, there was tons of space. The yard, the trees, the dock out front were gorgeous and we loved starting our mornings there. The AC in the rooms worked great, and we only had a couple of short power surges. Unfortunately, the drive to this house was the worst we've ever encountered. The road for a stretch is washed away to just rocks at steep inclines. We ended up with a flat tire on our rental. The rest of the island seems to have better roads, but from Playa Mango to San Ramon was very bad and took 3x as long as expected to drive. Also, the bugs - I realize this is the jungle but the gnat situation on Ometepe at night is unlike anything I've seen. The pool was filled with them every morning. I realize these 2 things are not in the hosts control, but they played a part in our stay and affected our plans each day.

We had a great stay, the housekeeper was very attentive making sure that we was pleased with anything that was needed. The location was great too, the waterfall was close by to go hiking, playa mangos was close by as well and it was a good place to visit. It was a great view. And the house was clean. I give this location a 10/10. The whole family enjoyed this place.

The place was just amazing, the staff is always there to help you they are super friendly and polite, the house has everything you need to enjoy a peaceful day with your family, we enjoyed this weekend a lot, the view is incredible, we definitely recommend this Amazon place for your stay 🤗🤗

Start to finish, this was a wonderful stay. While a bit of a trek to get to (which I was well aware of), it was a piece of paradise. The lake, dock, swimming, sunsets... absolutely stunning.

The home is a bit older, but has all the amenities and space you could want for a great group experience.

The host and caretakers were really helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again!

The house is in a state of disrepair, very dirty and cluttered. The chest freezer in the kitchen is full of old, gross food. The back bedroom smelled of mold and had a wall that was water stained and soft. There was a large puddle on the floor when we arrived, 2 bedrooms had significant leaks in the ceilings that were obviously not new and had caused several of the mattresses to be soaked through to the box springs. They were old and stained. AC units either didn’t function or were very dirty and old, they were duct taped to seal them to the walls with tape that was old and peeling off. There is a dangerous electrical outlet which had been electrical taped in a very unsafe way. We lost power both nights, which isn’t uncommon but there are very few windows that open and all the screens are very old and disintegrated so the rooms were hot and stuffy. We never got water back in the kitchen after the power was out the entire second night. Marisa was very dismissive of our concerns.

This house is a magnificent properly on Ometepe very close to the lake.

It's fully appointed and if anything the photos on the site don't do it justice.
