Casa Que Besa el Mar

This villa is unreal, it feels like something out of a dream. You walk in and it hits you with that mix of art, design, and Caribbean energy. The views over the ocean and that sunset every night were wild. The layout makes it easy to chill. One big pool, a couple of Jacuzzis, and plenty of spots to relax or hang with friends. Andrea was amazing. She made everything smooth from the second we booked. Super helpful and always ready to make things happen. She helped us set up a mariachi band one night that turned into one of the best moments of the trip. The staff was just as impressive. Always smiling, always ready to help, and the food they made was unreal. Every meal felt like a five-star spot. We were a group of friends and this house checked every box. Big dining area, comfy rooms, fresh flowers, cold drinks, and a vibe that made everyone feel at home. Everything was spotless. If you’re coming to Cartagena and want that mix of luxury, character, and good energy, this is the one.

Words can’t express how wonderful this home is. Spectacular in every way. Even better is the hospitality we received from the host, Andrea. She helped us plan every detail of our stay in Cartagena, going above and beyond at every turn. It was nothing like renting a house, more like visiting a friend. This entire stay was such a dream for our family! We traveled with 6 adults, 3 children & 1 toddler for a week & were so sad to leave this beautiful setting. No photos compare to actually being there in person. The warmth, character & details reflected to us by Andrea were truly felt - a home so well-loved & well-lived. The city was so walkable & vibrant, with daily outings for our favorite treats & meals. Our knowledge of Spanish was extremely helpful, as well as having plenty of pesos! Andrea went above & beyond with communication - so responsive & helpful. From organizing a drive to Barú for a beach day, to facilitating a boat rental to the Rosario Islands - she was fantastic. Heading to the islands is a MUST! Carmelo, Naira, Muriel & Anita were more than gracious with any need during our stay in the home & we left with a special place in our hearts for them. We coordinated daily breakfast at the home, which was such a highlight. Our hearts remain in Cartagena & we hope to return!

A very nice experience to live the historic center in a colonial house full of very expressive visual stimuli. There were 10 of us and we were very comfortable. It's not for those who enjoy minimalism. Andrea has decorated it in an artistic style with a lot of personality, there are many details, furniture, a lot of art and color. She was a very caring and friendly host.

A magical experience, that is how my family would describe our stay at Andrea’s house in Old Cartagena. To start, the house is a feast for the eyes: there is beautiful artwork and lush plants everywhere! When you first walk in, you are greeted by a sprawling room with several spaces to sit and unwind, not the least of which are a hammock, a long dining table, and a large pool. I think the favorite spot for the adults was the rooftop pool and lounge. Laying there watching the sun set and drinking margaritas with family will be an unforgettable memory for all of us. Andrea, the owner. Muriel, Carmelo, Anita, and Naira were so kind and welcoming. Breakfast every morning was delicious and beautifully prepared. I can’t imagine dealing with a better host than Andrea. She was indispensable in helping us plan our trip. A day trip to the islands and a beach club were a highlight. The best compliment I have is that we can’t wait to go back and enjoy her little oasis in Cartagena.

Pure magic! The home itself is filled with beautiful art, amazing books, and most welcoming staff. It is also a wonderful location near the wall, convenient to necessities like groceries as well as entertainment, restaurants, and such. Highly recommend taking breakfast at the house as well as an evening meal. They do such a wonderful job. Coming home each day brought smiles to our faces with warm welcome, flowers, clean towels, fresh water. Andrea helped us plan a private boat trip and massages at the house as well as excellent restaurant recommendations. We could not have felt more grateful. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Hard to find the words for how much I appreciate Andrea and the home she has created. It’s the most beautiful oasis of unprecedented taste and hospitality. The home is so well curated, we loved taking in its every wall, everyone corner. The staff is phenomenal and we fell in love with their cooking and their kind ways. I will never forget my time in la casa que besa el mar, it was magical.

Andreas home is absolutely beautiful . Looks even better than the pictures. Very open and airy . The house is gorgeous and the art is incredible. Andrea is highly responsive and helpful. It’s super easy to walk everywhere and the views are insane . I will be staying there again on my next trip to Cartagena

If I could give this house and Andrea’s hospitality a 100 stars, I would. The pictures do not convey how magnificent this home is - hard to leave this home to explore Cartagena! Andrea helped my friends and me plan my birthday party prior to our arrival. She has great recommendations and found the perfect options for our plans including booking a yacht rental, dinner reservations, tours, etc. The home has a staff which were so friendly and helpful- their service/cooking were above and beyond to say the least. Andrea also arranged transportation when we needed it for our group of 9, including various arrivals and departures at CTG. One guest needed medical attention and Andrea immediately found a phenomenal medical service to come to the house. The staff even made special food for the guest as required by the doctor. She was extremely helpful our entire trip. Book this house if you’re even thinking about visiting Cartagena!! Cheers!
