The top-floor unit offers exceptional views and breathtaking sunsets. During the day, relax beside one of the two large pools, including a pool with a swim-up bar.

The primary master bedroom features a king bed, closet, and dresser space. The second master bedroom includes a king bed that can be configured as two twin beds upon request.

Laundry

The washer and dryer are not available for guest use. Housekeeping can provide laundry service upon request for an additional fee.

Construction Notice

Construction of the condo and building is complete. However, construction may continue north of the building as the final phase of the complex is completed. Construction noise may be heard between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Check-In Deposit

The check-in policy includes a US$250 incidental deposit. The deposit will be applied toward room charges and refunded upon check-out if there are no applicable charges or damages.

Where is Sunset Caribe?

Sunset Caribe is located on Ambergris Caye, the largest island and primary tourist destination in Belize. San Pedro is the only town on the island, and the resort is approximately 1.5 miles north of San Pedro, or about a 10-minute golf cart ride.

What language is spoken in Belize?

English is the official language of Belize. Spanish, Garifuna, Creole, and various Mayan dialects are also spoken.

What is the currency exchange rate?

The Belize dollar exchange rate is US$1 = BZ$2. Most establishments can exchange money in small amounts. US dollars are widely accepted as long as bills are not damaged, written on, or torn. US coins are not accepted.

Does Sunset Caribe accept credit cards?

Yes. Sunset Caribe accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.

What type of electricity is used in Belize?

All outlets use 110 volts and 60 hertz, the same standard used in the United States.

Is the drinking water safe in Belize?

Sunset Caribe has its own purified water source. Although many guests drink water from the tap or refrigerator dispensers with charcoal filters, guests are encouraged to drink bottled water. Complimentary purified bottled water is provided in the condo.

What is the weather like in Belize?

Belize generally has two seasons: a mild, relatively dry winter season and a warmer summer season with more humidity. The official rainy season runs from June through November.

Temperatures on Ambergris Caye are milder than those on mainland Belize, typically reaching the low to mid-80s Fahrenheit during the day and the high 70s Fahrenheit in the evening.

Are there bugs or mosquitoes in Belize?

Yes. Belize is a tropical destination. Breezes on Ambergris Caye help keep insects away, but sand flies, also known as no-see-ums, may become bothersome when there is little or no breeze. Insect repellent is recommended.

Which airport should I use when traveling to Belize?

International guests should fly into Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), located on mainland Belize.

How do I get to the resort?

You can take a local 15-minute flight or a 90-minute water taxi to San Pedro. Sunset Caribe does not provide complimentary transfers to or from the resort, but the team can reserve transfer arrangements for you.

How do I get around once I arrive?

Golf carts are the most popular form of transportation and are a convenient way to explore the island. Rental cars are not available on the island. Sunset Caribe offers four- and six-seat golf cart rentals.

Can Sunset Caribe stock the condo with food and drinks?

Yes. The on-site grocery and convenience store, The Beach Basket, can stock the condo with everything you need. Orders can be placed through its online store.

Is air conditioning available?

Yes. Every condo at Sunset Caribe has central air conditioning throughout. Ceiling fans are also provided in all bedrooms and common living areas.

Is internet access available?

Yes. Sunset Caribe provides complimentary wireless internet access inside each condo, as well as Wi-Fi hotspots near the reception and pool areas.

Can I book tours and activities in advance?

Yes. Belize and Ambergris Caye offer many interesting places to visit and activities to enjoy. Sunset Caribe works with qualified, licensed guides and can answer questions or assist with booking tours, excursions, and spa treatments before your stay.

Which time zone is Belize in?

Belize operates on Central Standard Time (CST), the same time zone as Chicago. Belize does not observe daylight saving time. During the summer months, Belize operates on Mountain Standard Time (MST), the same time zone as Denver.
