Casa Kilimanjaro is a jewel in the rough, and one of the most amazing settings in Manuel Antonio. The home is rustic, but with a great single-story layout, an idyllic pool--and some of the best ocean and mountain views around. There are 4 Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and ceiling fans, a full kitchen and an outdoor shower. The entire property is 6 acres, sits on the crown of a rainforest-skirted hilltop, and is one of the most private properties in all of Manuel Antonio. The space Casa Kilimanjaro is ideal for groups who are more interested in beauty and nature than luxury finishes, and more interested in wildlife than nightlife. The space is perfect for relaxing around the pool and taking in the sweeping mountain-to-ocean views, or for taking in some of the area's most beautiful animals--from monkeys, to sloths, to toucans, to scarlet macaws. An electric gate at the entrance opens to a great mango tree and a long driveway leading past the caretakers' casita up to the top of the hill. (No 4x4 necessary, but somewhat steep.) At the top there is ample parking. The home is a big rectangle with bedrooms in three corners and the kitchen/garage in the other corner. The interior/ living space is designed to be open, with large sliding glass doors on both sides to facilitate air movement. The living area communicates perfectly with the outer, covered patio, with an old-school BBQ and smoker. Two steps lead down to the pool and twin pool decks, idyllic in the afternoon. There are hammocks and pool furniture also. Other things to note Please note that we DO NOT accept pets OR service animals at this property. If you show up with a pet or service animal you will NOT be allowed to occupy the property! There is no AC in Casa Kilimanjaro, and it can get hot in the afternoons--especially in the dry season months of March and April.
