Tennis Courts

Hacienda Pinilla offers three hard tennis courts with onsite instructors and a variety of clinics, lessons, and court rentals.

• Thursday, 4:00–5:30 PM: Intermediate Clinic – $20

Lessons:

• $60/hour for one person

• $200 for a package of 4 lessons

Horse Stables

Explore 16 kilometers of scenic trails through dry forests leading to Playa Langosta’s pristine beaches. Guided horseback tours range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, passing through forests, secluded beaches, and river mouths within Hacienda Pinilla.

Mountain Bike Trails

The ranch features 30 kilometers of professional trails and 15 kilometers of beginner trails, ideal for biking, hiking, or exploring the expansive 4,500-acre property.

Surfing

Hacienda Pinilla is an excellent base for surfing in Costa Rica, with six breaks at Playa Avellanas and private access to Playa Langosta’s beach breaks. Additional renowned surf spots include Playa Negra reef breaks 10 minutes south and Tamarindo’s river mouth and beach breaks 10 minutes north.

This private residence is located in the gated community of Hacienda Pinilla, specifically within the smaller, exclusive neighborhood of Entroterra. A rental car is strongly recommended, as local amenities and restaurants are not within walking distance.

We advise guests to purchase groceries before arrival, especially after long travel days, since nearby stores are limited.

If you expect visitors during your stay, please inform the host in advance so they can be added to the entry list at the main gate.

Important Community Rules

Entroterra is a private, gated community with full-time residents and families. A strict quiet policy is enforced from 11 PM to 6 AM. This home is best suited for respectful groups and families. Parties, events, or excessive noise are prohibited. Guests who violate these rules will be asked to leave without a refund.
