The Space
Our closest home to the beach is ideally situated for families seeking sun-filled days and adventures in both ocean and jungle settings. The house is surrounded by a gated tropical garden, offering a peaceful stroll through lush greenery.
Wake up to the calming sounds of nature while enjoying your morning coffee on the poolside patio, enveloped by vibrant tropical gardens. The beautifully landscaped grounds are home to colorful flowers and mature trees where hummingbirds and coatis are frequent visitors. This home was awesome for our family of 5! The highlights were the frequent visits from white faced monkeys, toucans and macaws! Some items in the home are outdated but, trivial compared to the location, privacy and backyard nature. The kitchen had everything you would need to make meals (we made bfast/lunch most days and ate out in town for dinner). Plenty of towels for shower, beach or pool. My kids swam every day in the pool. We got a blow up from the local Mercado and they swam rain or shine and always had a good day because of this. My only complaints would be there was no family living space to relax on a couch and watch a show as a family after a long day of excursions. And the master bed was huge and spacious but the mattress needs to be replaced, it is old. If you are reading this after March 2026, I would inquire. Bog thank you to jaguar properties for being the more gracious hosts and helping us with everything! Uvita is my fav, we’ll be back!

we stayed in this house in Uvita for 5 days. there were 8 of us with 4 kids. the place was great. enough space for 4 kids to stay in the upstairs bedroom. the location of the house is amazing. it's very walkable to both playa Uvita and playa Colonia where we spent much of our time. (strongly recommend uvita surf and tour for surf lessons) we stayed in March which was incredibly hot but the house AC and fans were excellent. very comfortable beds and the 2 bathrooms were plenty for both families to share. Some noise from upstairs will transmit to main floor bedrooms but it seems that night sounds from birds and animals etc is standard in costa Rica. we especially loved the white faced monkeys that hang out in the trees above the pool! thanks for a wonderful stay!

This place was comfortable and accessible to great amenities and a nice little community felt like I was a part of things and also had privacy. Thomas and Christine run a very efficient operation and were very helpful leading up to the stay. They had great recommendations and knew the area very well.

We had a wonderful experience from booking to checkout. Tom and Christine provided all necessary details as well as thoughtful information on local tours and services. The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and as described. We appreciated the walkable location yet with a private feel. We enjoyed morning coffee while watching (and listening to) all the birds, monkeys, and iguanas from the patio. We would highly recommend Tom and Christine’s place in Uvita!

This was a gem! Pool is perfect size & surrounded by lushness. Tom & Christine guided us thru every step of the process, from planning to arriving. The house is beautiful & the bedrooms are well appointed. The Ticos in the neighborhood are so friendly - and you can get loads of smiles!
