Drake Bay, Casita Tangara

Great host, very communicative and helped us arranging excursions at Drake Bay.

Great place, great hosts would definitely come again!

Wir waren zwei Nächte bei Johanna und Manuel und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Alles ist wie beschrieben und gut ausgestattet, die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral und ist in 10 min zu Fuß vom Strand erreichbar. Manuel hat uns sehr kurzfristig (in der Hochsaison) eine Tour in den Nationalpark organisiert und war dabei sogar unser Guide. Man spürt, wie sehr er diesen Beruf und den Nationalpark liebt und wir haben wirklich viele Tiere gesehen und viel gelernt.

Le logement était à hauteur de nos attentes. Hôte très réactive et toujours prête à nous aider! Conseil : prévoyez de l’anti-moustique. Très bon emplacement également.

johanna en Manuel waren uiterst behulpzaam. lieve mensen. johanna heeft mij om 6 uur in de ochtend de weg gewezen naar de snorkeltour. Manuel is al 30 jaar gids voor het Corcovadopark en had geregeld dat ik met hem meekon. heel veel gezien geleerd van hem!

Excellent value for money. Nice little place with well functioning kitchen. Hosts were very responsive and happy to help with booking us onto the boat back to Sierpe/booking tours.

Wir haben drei Nächte bei Johanna verbracht und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Sie und ihre Familie wohnen ebenfalls auf dem Grundstück. Das Airbnb befindet sich im unteren Bereich und hat einen separaten Eingang. Johanna, ihr Mann und ihre Tochter haben alles dafür getan, dass wir uns wohlfühlen und den Weg zu ihnen erreichen! Obwohl wir nur drei Nächte blieben, hat sie sogar zwischendurch geputzt für uns. Das ist absolut nicht selbstverständlich. Dafür nochmal ein ganz liebes Dankeschön! Ihre ganze Familie ist sehr liebevoll und hilfsbereit!

I spent just under a month at Johanna's place, and I enjoyed my stay. There was plenty of space in the unit for myself and mostly all the necessary kitchen utensils I needed to cook from home. The internet connection was ok, but you may have difficulty with large downloads or high-population video conference calls, however the speed was par for the course for Drake Bay. The family upstairs was lovely, accommodating, and approachable. They were constantly checking in to make sure I had what I needed. I would stay again if the chance arose.

It is a nice place, but it is not a seperate bungalow, it us in the basement of the house where the family stays ovove you. Means it can be noisy, because the kitchen is above you and you hear every moving! Manuel works as a guide in the Corcovado NP. He has a good knowledge about the area. But I would not recommend the tour operator, he works for. This Operator dont cares and want just your best your money. When I was there we trampled qith 50 other people around the Sirena Ranger Station, which was a nightmare. Its like running in a Zoo for just 100 Us Dollar!
