The host first discovered this part of Medellín nearly 10 years ago after looking for an area that offered more local charm than the typical tourist trail while still providing the amenities of a more upscale neighborhood. Days were spent visiting nearby cafés, mixing music, writing, walking to UPB University, taking Spanish classes, exercising, and working on personal projects. The area quickly felt like home, and it remains the host’s favorite part of the city.
Laureles/Estadio has evolved considerably over the years and is now difficult to beat for its atmosphere and convenience.
