- Nicaragua is a predominantly Catholic country with vibrant religious celebrations that include bands, parades, and fireworks, which may cause noise at various hours.
- Electricity costs are high in Nicaragua (approximately $0.50 per kWh). Guests are asked to conserve energy by turning off air conditioners, fans, pool pump, TVs, and lights when not in use.
- The pool is not safe for babies without supervision.
- Rental cars are generally not recommended due to city navigation challenges. For guests with cars, overnight parking in a gated, covered garage is advised.

Ashley's place is in a great location! We were able to walk all around Granada, including to the waterfront, restaurant row, the main square and several other tourist places. There were grocery stores close by and many local vendors. Ashley and Julio always responded quickly and Julio even arranged to have our laundry picked up. As others have mentioned, the house is dated and needs some maintenance and TLC - the pool has many loose tiles, there is a general rundown/dated feeling, a lack of attention to detail when it came to cleaning, unnecessary clutter and the Murphy bed is uncomfortable. These are not deal breakers as the location is amazing and Ashley is lovely. Julio did mention AC usage when we checked in and checked out which was off-putting as that is not mentioned in the listing. I can appreciate electricity is expensive but mention that ahead of time so travelers understand they might not be able to run the AC. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons! Thanks for a great stay!

First my wife and I were told not to use the front bedroom or air, and asked to limit our air con to late night. My daughter and her children came over to visit, and use the pool. My grand daughter found 3 pieces of glass in the pool and almost 100 broken and sharp tiles also in the pool.

This was a perfect first place to arrive in Nicaragua! The house manager, Julio, picked us up at the airport and literally treated us like family- great tours, incredibly responsive, house was comfortable and exactly as described. Julio also had incredible recommendations for food- both local places and nice restaurants. He never led us astray! Pool was very refreshing to lounge in with the heat- but the AC’s work incredibly well in the bedrooms at night, so it was very comfortable to sleep in!

Julio was a great host, very responsive, and met us at the airport and provided transportation to the house. The house felt very much like an oasis in the city. Our kids LOVED being able to swim after walking around the city every afternoon. Very clean and welcoming. Again, Julio was a great contact to have and had a lot of suggestions for things to do in and around the city.

Casa Romántica is a nice little colonial home very close to the center of town. A good value/price for a nice traditional place with a dipping pool. The photos are likely from several years ago when the house was in much better condition, but it’s still charming.
