The Malinche Palace is a remarkable villa designed by renowned architect Víctor Cañas, celebrated for his contemporary style and practical approach to architecture. Despite its elevated position, the beach is just an eight-minute walk away via a private staircase. The property is also conveniently located an eight-minute drive from Playas Coco Downtown and 32 minutes from Liberia Airport.

The villa comfortably accommodates up to 18 guests, with additional couches and air mattresses available to host up to 22 people if needed.

We had a great stay! The location was also great, very close to Ocotal beach and Gringo beach. Max was an outstanding host from the first message — always available, always willing, and quick to respond to anything we needed. The property was beautiful and clean, larger than I expected, lots of little amenities for a comfortable stay. Everything was in excellent condition and worked perfectly. I enjoyed listening to the birds and watching monkeys while drinking my morning coffee. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place. We would be happy to stay here again!

The host Max communicated very well and the co host came to check us in and walked us through the whole Airbnb which was very useful. The reason I left some low stars were the cleanliness- there were to many mold around the house, bathroom, kitchen it could be due to the area and water but it’s def not well maintained especially if daily cleanup is included. A lot of the bedroom didn’t look clean like the pictures which we were disappointed. The windows and sink had a lot of yellow and green mold even on the soap dispensers. Some of the bathrooms looked very outdated. We had several issue with the water filter and the water which the host send someone right away. This was overall perfect for our big group of 12 and the host was very nice and never complained once about if we needed things right away and sent someone without being mad.

Absolutely beautiful location and fantastic home. Each bedroom (all 8!) were spacious with private baths--and some with great views of the ocean. Hosts were responsive and always available. Finding the right driveway was a bit tricky the first time, but Max provided meticulous instructions. We love the openness of the floor plan. Our 9 grandkids rarely left the pool when we were home. Highly recommend.

Our family of 14 traveled from different states across the U.S., and The Malinche Palace was the perfect place to bring everyone together. The home is beautiful, the views are incredible, and it was the perfect place to relax after our adventures around Costa Rica. The hosts were very responsive and made everything easy from booking through checkout. We also arranged catered meals, with breakfast delivered on our days at the house and dinner brought in after our excursions. Everything was delicious, and Max and Julia coordinated it all seamlessly. The pool was a huge hit with the kids, who spent hours swimming every day while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the views. The home had plenty of space for everyone and was perfect for our large family. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Malinche Palace!

If I could give Malinche Palace more than 5 stars, I absolutely would—because this place deserves main character energy ✨ First of all, the house? STUNNING. Spacious, spotless, and perfect for hosting a large group without feeling like you’re living on top of each other. We threw a whole event here and still had room to breathe (and dance 💃🏽). Julie and Max? Not hosts… more like event planners, problem solvers, and low-key lifesavers. They connected us to everything—decor, cake, wait staff—you name it. At some point I was wondering if they could also arrange world peace 😄 The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food we ordered? Let’s just say… no leftovers survived. Not one. Location is chef’s kiss—we casually WALKED to the beach like we were in a vacation movie. All in all: 10/10 hospitality, 10/10 experience, 10/10 would book again. Just be warned… you may not want to leave (we definitely didn’t 😩).

Booked for my Bachelorette and had the most amazing experience! The views are incredible, and you can hear the birds singing nonstop. Max and Julia were very responsive and kind.

The hosts were very helpful and responsive. They met me as we first arrived and gave thorough instructions on everything to go with the house. The amenities at the house were as listed! I definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get to town and the beaches. The house was beautiful and the maid service was top notch. Would definitely recommend!
