The Space
Casa Oasis is a large contemporary home located within the gated beachfront community of Hermosa Palms. The design blends contemporary, Mediterranean, and natural elements, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. The courtyard serves as the centerpiece, featuring spacious and comfortable outdoor living areas that surround a private pool.
Inside, the open floor plan connects the kitchen and bar area to the dining space, which seats 13 between the bar and dining table, and the living room. This flows into the family room/TV lounge, which opens onto the first covered patio. The patio includes a ceiling fan, rocking chairs, and a custom waterfall jacuzzi pool.
The custom pool offers numerous built-in seating areas, perfect for adults to relax with a drink or for children to play. A large covered patio features two built-in couches, a dining table, a wine refrigerator, and a bar area. Bamboo accents and several ceiling fans help keep the space cool.
Additional amenities include a full bathroom, a guest bedroom, a BBQ grill, and a gym located out back. The main house contains four more bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, totaling five bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms.

The house and neighborhood are beautiful. They were perfectly situated and met the needs of my group. We encountered a few minor issues that were immediately addressed by our wonderful host, Maria. Be aware, the stove top uses induction heat for cooking. So, every pan will not activate the system. There are a few pans that will work, but not enough for a large group, nor for cooking multiple items simultaneously. Save yourself some time and frustration by asking for a quick demonstration of how to operate the appliances. The community is very safe. The security guards, (Anthony, Will, and Antoine) were very professional and pleasantly helpful. I would definitely book another stay with Mike and Maria.

Great place to stay with your family or a small group. The house is fantastic, secure and safe gated community and a perfect location 10min drive from a town that has anything you may need on your vacation. Mike is a great host I've been lucky to have him now 4 times and always a pleasure and never let's you down. Thanks Mike for another amazing vacation from me and my family

The house is perfect for large groups, all the clean and spacious areas, its beds are very comfortable , full and well equipped kitchen, as a recommendation to improve the grill needs maintenance the grills were incomplete, the bathroom on the last floor had the burnt light and one of the windows in the room had no curtains, it is important to note that inside the house there are cameras and this at first impression is a little uncomfortable x the lack of privacy, it would be good that prior to the entry it was reported to take it into account, we were also surprised that the maintenance manager entered without prior notice, this was a little frightened, it would be important for Mike to notify him in advance as well as on the day of departure the maintenance manager entered again at 9am to know if they could start cleaning. In general it is a very nice house where you can see the affection they have invested in it. Without hesitation we would come back.

Mikes place was perfect for our family of 12. We felt very safe at this location, especially around the resort pool and bar/restaurant. Speaking of restaurant, the restaurant at the resort pool was off the chart! YoYo (owner/manager) was beyond accommodating. We arrive very late do to the horribly traffic around San Jose. YoYo asked her staff if they would stay late and cook diner for us and all the kids. Fantastic FOOD, just great. Back to the house. This house is very nice and has all the amenities. It does need one more good frying pan. The cast iron pan worked great but needed two for a large family. Having the private pool at the house was great to just hanging around late at night. For those that want to stay in shape it has a good work out room. PS the AC did not work, outside in the work out room. Otherwise the AC worked great in the whole house. My wife and I chose the "in-law" separate bedroom and it was perfect. Gave us a great place to chill. John & Nena

Unfortunately, on the day of check-in, the home we originally booked had plumbing issues. Mike offered to move us to another house in Playa Hermosa at no additional cost. The new location was nice. It was clean, private, and quiet. There was only one restaurant within walking distance - a bar at the private beach club to which we had access. Fortunately, the food was delicious. We ate lunch and dinner there daily and ensured we had leftovers for breakfast. The beach was gorgeous and a great place to watch sunsets. Swimming in the ocean wasn't an option due to the aggressive waves and riptides, but that didn't stop the surfers. So if surfing is your thing, this beach location will work for you. Otherwise, we wouldn't recommend it to anyone wanting to spend considerable time in the ocean. That said, we appreciated having access to the private beach club and pool. The pool was large, and the chairs were plentiful. Mike was easy to work with and very accommodating.
