Nestled within Senderos, Tamarindo's most exclusive and secure gated community, the property benefits from 24/7 security. This home offers an elevated lifestyle with refined taste and meticulous attention to detail, promising an unforgettable retreat.
The Space
This 2,700-square-foot villa backs onto a beautiful forest and consists of three separate structures: the Main House, a Detached Suite, and an Outdoor Bathroom. The five spacious bedrooms are divided between the main house and the poolside detached suite, ensuring exceptional comfort and privacy.
Each bedroom is uniquely decorated to evoke a journey around the world, providing guests with a distinctive and memorable stay. Amenities in every room include:

- Blackout curtains
- Private bathrooms
High-speed fiber optic internet (200 Mbps WiFi) is available, ideal for remote work.
Main House
The main house contains three large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and patio doors opening to the pool area. The master suite features an exclusive outdoor shower surrounded by lush greenery.
The fully equipped kitchen connects to an elegant living room with a 65-inch 4K Smart TV. Outside, the pool area includes:
- Covered terrace with a large dining table
- BBQ grill
- Lounge chairs
- Comfortable outdoor lounge seating
Each bedroom and the outdoor space provide direct access to the pool, sunbeds, and lounge chairs, creating a private and charming atmosphere.
Detached Suite
Located beyond the pool for added privacy, the detached family suite offers two bedrooms sharing a bathroom. The first bedroom has a king-size bed plus a custom child’s bed (65" x 33") suitable for a child or small teenager. The second bedroom features two single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed upon request. Both rooms have patio doors with direct pool access.
Guest Access
Guests enjoy full, private access to the entire villa, including the pool and garden. Additional services available include:

- Personalized yoga sessions with experienced instructors
Location
Casa Duna Grande is conveniently situated near a small shopping center and grocery store (Automercado) offering a variety of international products. The villa is close to the fine sandy beach and downtown Tamarindo, a popular spot for surfing and known for its diverse activities, dining, and vibrant nightlife.
Although the beach is within walking distance, due to warm weather and possible traffic, using a golf cart or car is recommended for comfort and convenience.
From this central location, guests can explore many of Costa Rica’s natural wonders and adventures, such as:
- Quad biking through lush jungle terrain
- Thrilling zip-line tours
- Guided excursions to nearby volcanoes and waterfalls
Just steps from the property, a small pond provides opportunities to observe local wildlife, including colorful parrots, iguanas, hummingbirds, deer, and howler monkeys.
Additional Information
Please note:
- Construction is ongoing in the surrounding area, which may cause occasional noise disturbances. This is common in most Tamarindo neighborhoods.
- Construction next door is in progress, but noisy work is not conducted on weekends or during the Christmas holiday.
- The noisy phase of the project is expected to conclude by February 2026.
*Housekeeping and breakfast services are not provided on Sundays and public holidays. Breakfast is also not served on the day of check-out. Concierge service operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
**The villa accommodates up to 10 adults and 1 child. Rates are based on 6 guests. For groups of 7 to 11, an additional fee of USD 30 per person per night applies.

We stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday, and this home exceeded every expectation. The photos are beautiful, but somehow it's even better in person, it truly feels like a private resort. A huge shoutout to Shirley, the housekeeper. Having the house cleaned every morning was such a treat, and she was incredibly kind and detailed. Her breakfasts made our mornings even more special. The home is located in a beautiful gated community with 24/7 security, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. We also rented golf carts through Adriano and the Airbnb. We shopped around and can confidently say they had the best pricing, and the process was effortless. I'd definitely recommend getting golf carts since downtown Tamarindo is about a mile away—they made getting around easy and fun. We booked in-home massages, and after an amazing morning of relaxation, Adriano and Deniz surprised me by gifting mine for my birthday. I can't recommend this property enough.

Tucked away on a dead end road, across from a pond. Beautiful house. Lovely setting, great outdoor area and a short drive into all the action, without having to hear any road noise or traffic.

Absolutely incredible stay. The property is truly 5-star and looked even better in person. The views, atmosphere, and overall experience made this one of the best group trips we’ve had. A huge thank you to Shirley as well — she was patient, responsive, helpful, and honestly felt like the “mom” of the trip making sure everything ran smoothly for our group of 5 celebrating a birthday. For anyone booking this villa: definitely get the golf cart. The hills are very steep and having it made getting around Tamarindo easy and fun. I’d also highly recommend the chef services and in-villa massages — those really elevated the experience and made the stay feel luxurious. Breakfast every morning was amazing and something we looked forward to daily. Overall, amazing property, amazing hospitality, and an unforgettable experience. Would absolutely stay again.

Casa Duna was the perfect home for our group! The place was clean , spacious , with such a beautiful pool and outdoor area. Beds were so comfortable , bathrooms were pristine. Shirley was very attentive and made us breakfast two of the mornings and that was delicious and beautifully set up for us in the morning! the location was great super close to the city center and walkable to nearby areas. We felt super safe and right at home! Adriano and Denise were always so quick to respond and super informative. We’d recommend Casa Duna to anyone ! Thank you!

Very clean space and beautiful house. The gated community felt very safe, but make sure to get the correct permits and licenses for the golf carts or else they won’t let you enter. The house on maps appears to be very close to the shop and grocery area, but due to the gated community, you must take a golf cart there (takes about 5 minutes or so). Accommodated dietary restrictions for breakfast, which was greatly appreciated! I think the pricing was a bit high for what you get, but we visited during a holiday weekend so it may have been more expensive.

We had a wonderful time! All 11 of us felt at home and Shirley was so amazing to greet us every morning during breakfast! Only thing I would note is that if you decide to do a chef to cook your meals, be advised that ingredients cost us 2x the price of the base cost! Other than that, ubers were easy to get and going to town was fun! Definitely recommend for a group as the hosts were very flexible :)
