Amazing spot to spend the month in tamarindo. Kids loved the pool, felt very safe in the gated community and super close to town. Would come back and highly recommend Johan’s place.

We had such an amazing week. Johan was the most responsive and communicative Airbnb host I have ever encountered. The home was beautiful and just as pictured our kids absolutely loved the pool and it was perfect for our beginner swimmers. Johan was fantastic about recommendations and also arranged a golf cart rental that was dropped off and picked up directly to the house. It was a wonderful week and we look forward to coming back.

We loved our stay at your house Johan, amazing place, photos don’t do it justice. We felt right at home and had lots of space for our family. We really enjoyed the yard and pool as well! Walking distance to beach - about 10-15 mins and close to the action in Tamarindo but far enough away to come home to a peaceful oasis. Thank you also for helping arrange a golf cart for us to rent and for all of your expedient responses to any of my questions!

We had a great time at Casa Aurora Boreal. From the moment we walked in we felt there at home. The house is located in the peaceful neighborhood area, yet in walking distance from all the restaurants and half mile away from the beach. Johan is a wonderful host. He made sure we had everything we needed during our stay at Casa Aurora. We lived the place and will definitely be back.

The place is out of the way enough to be very quiet and peaceful, but only a 15 minute walk (or 3-5 minute drive) to get to the busy commercial centre of Tamarindo and the beach. The pool was extremely helpful for the kids and the air conditioning was a godsend for our nine month old. The house was clean, comfortable, well appointed, well equipped and exactly as advertised. Johan responded immediately when we had an issue with the pool filter and sent some lovely recommendations. Definitely recommend staying if looking for a quiet spot in Tamarindo.

We loved this AirBnB! It is a beautiful home and yard with everything well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed to cook nice meals, and the salt water pool was so relaxing! The wildlife was so nice to see - lots of birds and even a troop of howler monkeys in the trees a couple of mornings!! It is in a gated community and felt very safe. The air conditioning was much appreciated! The house is about a 1 km walk to downtown. Sometimes we walked and other times we drove - it was great to have a large parking spot for our car!! The host was a great communicator - responded quickly and was very informative! We had the best 6 days here - felt like home! I would highly recommend this Airbnb!!

Johan’s place was beautiful. It was so peaceful and everyone there was so extremely helpful. We had a little snag trying to find the house at the beginning of our trip, but the security guard went out of his way to help us find our Airbnb.

FIKA bliss - a comfortable and unique place to stay — we enjoyed our time and would recommend it to anyone visiting Tamarindo!

Looks just like the photos. Would stay again…the place was clean and had everything we could have wanted. Johan seemed very friendly. Even the guys at the gates, with their limited English, recognized Johans name and lit up when we said we were staying at Johan’s…”Oh, Johan’s!!!”…and lit up with smiles and opened the gate right away.
