The stay was pleasant overall. The hosts were very friendly and had nice touches when we arrived, which we really appreciated. The house was clean, and you could tell it was well cared for in several ways. As a point to improve, upon entering we noticed a rather strong odor in the bathrooms, possibly related to little use or lack of ventilation. The pedestrian entrance can also be a bit tricky at the start of the ramp when walking down. Overall, we greatly appreciate the hosts' attentiveness and kindness, and we hope that these small details can help to further enhance the experience for future guests.

Being surrounded by nature, facing a breathtaking ocean view, and still feeling completely at home. The staff gave us an incredible welcome. The house is beautifully designed, spotless, and stunning. The garden, pool, and yoga area are spacious and beautiful. The combination of nature, scenery, tranquility, and luxury creates a perfect experience. From the welcome gift package we received upon arrival to the help with every little detail — everything was exceptional. Every day we returned to a clean and organized house, with the garden freshly maintained as well. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

Excellent house, communication with the staff was amazing! Sophie took care of everything. The only thing I can say is that, since it's up on the mountain, it's a bit scary to go by ATV at night, as the road isn't lit. The rest is all 10/10

My fiancé and I stayed here for three months and had a fantastic experience. The views were incredible, the staff was great, and everyone was super helpful and accommodating. It’s perfect for shorter stays, but also works well for longer-term stays, just be sure to read the full description.

We had a very pleasant stay at Villa Makai :) Josefina was very kind, attentive to needs and always helpful. The house is very well located, the view of the sea is beautiful, the spacious rooms, the pool and the deck to do yoga we liked a lot, however, I think a point to improve is given the open concept of the house, we had quite a few ants inside the house, even in the rooms. We'll still go back to Santa Teresa again:)

The house was impeccable in so many ways. Super comfortable beds, great linens, amazing view to wake up to. Perfect view of the sunset directly in front of the house. Super clean and well kept up. All the staff were sweet and amazing and extremely responsive. Would not hesitate to book here again or one of their other amazing houses.
