Mission Bay is a three-story waterfront villa in Placencia, Belize, with six bedrooms, five bathrooms, and private chef service included for qualifying stays. The Caribbean Sea is just steps away, while the home’s open design brings in abundant natural light and refreshing ocean breezes.

Mission Bay is a certified Gold Standard Property by the Belize Tourism Board. It is located 8 miles from Placencia Village and the airstrip, with easy access provided by the included golf cart.

The Space

The villa is arranged across three spacious floors:

• The ground floor includes two large bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and direct access to a covered patio overlooking the pool and ocean.
• An open-air living area, dining room, and bar are also located on the ground floor.
• The second floor features an expansive chef’s kitchen with breakfast bar, an open dining area, a covered ocean-view patio, and two additional bedrooms.
• The second-floor master suite includes a sitting room, private bar, and refrigerator.
• The third floor is dedicated to a spacious private master suite with indoor and outdoor showers.
• The third-floor suite opens onto a large covered patio with panoramic views of the ocean and pool.

Outside, enjoy a private freshwater pool just feet from the sand, launch a kayak from the private pier, or paddle along the coastline.

Chef Service

Complimentary private chef service is included for stays of 4 nights or more. Guests receive one full chef day for every two nights stayed, with three freshly prepared meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—on each chef day.

• A 6-night stay includes 3 chef days.
• An 8-night stay includes 4 chef days.
• Guests reimburse the chef directly for groceries.
• There are no markups.
• The chef provides an invoice, payment instructions, and copies of all receipts.
• Grocery costs typically range from $45–$50 per person per day based on the preset menu.
• Additional chef days are available for $125 per day.

All-Inclusive Food Package

Enhance the chef service with the All-Inclusive Food Package for $75 per person per chef service day. The package includes:

• All three daily meals
• A fruit bowl
• Limited non-alcoholic beverages
• One lobster meal when in season
• No additional grocery reimbursement

Grocery Stocking

Grocery stocking service is included with your stay. Before arrival, you may complete a provisions list with basic groceries, snacks, and beverages. The chef will purchase the requested items, and you will reimburse the cost of the groceries purchased.

Concierge Service

Concierge service is included with your stay. Your dedicated Gecko concierge will assist with pre-arrival arrangements and contact you after your reservation is confirmed to begin planning your trip.

About Placencia

Located in Southern Belize, Placencia is a popular destination known for its relaxed Caribbean atmosphere and convenient access to adventure. The 16-mile-long peninsula is bordered by the Caribbean Sea on one side and a peaceful lagoon on the other.

Compared with the busier island destinations farther north, Placencia is uncrowded and authentic. The area provides access to ancient Mayan ruins, hidden waterfalls, ziplining, cave tubing, world-class snorkeling, and excellent sportfishing in Central America.

The peninsula also offers restaurants, local shops, beachside bars, and the famous Placencia sidewalk.

Getting from the International Airport to the Property

All international flights arrive and depart through Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) in Belize City. From the airport, guests have three options for reaching Placencia. After your reservation is confirmed, your Gecko concierge will help coordinate your preferred transfer.

Option 1: Flying

A 30-minute domestic flight from BZE to the Placencia airstrip costs $299 USD round trip per person. Your concierge will arrange pickup from the Placencia airstrip directly to the property and assist with booking local flights once your international flights are confirmed.

Option 2: Private Shuttle

A comfortable, direct shuttle from BZE to the property takes just over 2 hours on a fully paved road.

• Cost: $650 USD round trip, including tax, for up to 3 passengers
• Additional passengers: $60 USD per person round trip
• Maximum capacity: 12 passengers

Your concierge will help book the shuttle van once your international flights are confirmed.

Option 3: Self-Drive

Guests who prefer to explore independently may rent a car from the agency of their choice at BZE and drive to the property. Secure your rental online before arrival. Your concierge will provide detailed directions after booking.

Booking Fees and Cancellation Policy

• 60 days or more before arrival: Full refund, less a $150 booking fee
• Fewer than 60 days before arrival: No refund

This policy applies to direct bookings only. Guests booking through third-party platforms or Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy (HVMB) are subject to the cancellation terms of the applicable booking channel.
