Overview
All fees are included with your stay at Casa Mirage, located within Villas de Playa Grande. This beachfront villa offers a Mediterranean-inspired design featuring local hardwoods and custom furnishings that are contemporary, colorful, and comfortable. Guests can enjoy sweeping 180º ocean views from both upper and lower verandas, with direct beach access right from the backdoor. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a water filtration system for drinking water.
The Space
Casa Mirage is a beachfront villa situated on the shores of Playa Grande, where verandas open to expansive ocean vistas and the pace of life follows the rhythm of the sea. The villa provides 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms across 5,100 square feet, making it ideal for families or groups seeking both comfort and privacy.
The residence is arranged over two levels surrounding an open-air courtyard, allowing for a natural villa-style flow. Each bedroom has its own entrance from the courtyard, enabling guests to move freely without passing through shared living spaces. There are three bedrooms on the lower level and two on the upper level.
Outdoor living is a key feature of Casa Mirage. The open-air beachfront setting fosters a close connection with nature, where colorful birds fly overhead, hermit crabs roam the sand, and occasional geckos or iguanas may be spotted.
Between the villa and the beach lies the pool area, which includes:
- A main swimming pool
- A separate shallow wading pool for children
- Hammocks and lounge chairs for relaxation
This space is perfect for watching family members enjoy the beach and then unwinding with a peaceful sunset float.
Shaded verandas surround the villa, furnished with rocking chairs and a large outdoor dining table. This setup encourages a seamless indoor-outdoor lifestyle and provides a memorable atmosphere for evening meals.
Inside, the villa features air conditioning throughout, an open living area, a fully equipped kitchen, and an indoor dining space—ideal for shared meals and downtime between beach activities. The kitchen amenities include:
- Gas stove
- Two refrigerators
- Dishwasher
The sixth bathroom is conveniently located on the ground floor near the living and kitchen areas for daytime use.
Guest Access
Guests have access to all areas of the villa. Although there is no laundry room on-site, laundry service can be arranged for an additional fee.
Additional Information
The villa offers cleaning service every other day through the concierge. Additional services such as cooking, meal preparation, grocery stocking, and arranging excursions can be coordinated with the on-site manager. These services may incur extra charges.

Wow! We loved staying at Casa Mirage1. Sharon was a Great host and was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The house was perfect for our 15 family members who were all there to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had 8 adults and 7 kids. The beachfront locatiuon was ideal for everyone to enjoy the ocean, strolls on the beach, shady lounges to watch the sunsets and napping. The kids loved the pool as well. The location was private, not touristy, but walkable to restaurants and hang outs. The on site staff were very attentive and friendly and the grounds and house are well maintained. This may be our go to family spot.

Wow what a wonderful vacation we had with our four girls, their husbands and a 3 and 1 year old. This place is breathtaking and we truly enjoyed our time!!! It is VERY spacious, just a few steps to the beach, walk down the beach to treat yourself to tacos, food, festivities and fun was amazing. Sunsets are magical and everyone was so extremely nice!! We would definitely rent this out again!!!! Highly, highly recommend staying here. It was a dream come true and thank you to Sharon and her crew for all you did!!! Loretta & John

Our stay was wonderful! The service from the housekeeping staff was excellent as was the chef Kimberly. We did experience some ants in the bedrooms that bit some of our guests.

We stayed with a party of 9 adults and it was perfect. We utilized all 5 rooms, which each had its individual key and access to the front of the house as well as the kitchen space. The rooms were cleaned daily. Communication via wahtsapp was excellent and the beach front location allowed us to swim, surf, walk the beach, walk to breakfast/lunch/dinner locations! Would 10/10 stay again!!

Our experience at Casa Mirage was beyond our dreams! Besides the incredible location and wonderful layout of the home, the staff (Elibeth, Ania, Leanna, Kenneth, Jeffrey, and Jorge) is the best!! They were very responsive to any needs that we had and/or situations that arose. They were always so willing to go above and beyond to insure our needs were met. Also, I highly recommend hiring Kimberly, our cook. She is fabulous!! She made most of our meals and they were delicious! Kimberly and her grown children not only cooked the meals but cleaned up as well. A true vacation for moms! Our time at Casa Mirage was magical and we cannot wait to go back!

The house was perfect. The beach was beautiful. The guys could surf right in front of the house. The waves were perfect. I could watch them surf from the kitchen, which was so fun for me. It easily fit 5 families with children. The house had beach toys for the children to play with, a high chair and pack n play. There was great coffee within walking distance at Beach Break Surf Cafe. Great restaurant near by. We did our grocery shopping mostly at Mega grocery on our way to Tamarindo. The drive to Tamarindo is about 25 minutes. We loved being outside of the town and driving in if needed. Perfect place for our family vacation.

This location is paradise. Soft sand bottom beach with intermediate surf waves. We enjoyed the beach views tremendously. The sunsets are unparalleled. We had 3 families (all global travelers) stay in this villa and out of the 8 young children and 6 adults and 1 teen we slipped and fell on the extremely slippery floors over 16x! The afternoon rain and wet pool feet made it very difficult to walk safely around the porch, balcony, open air common spaces, stairs and even inside the rooms. I hope they can replace the extremely slippery floors before a serious accident occurs. I called the host after slipping down the stairs myself upon 10 min of check in. Thankfully I just had a knot and bruise on my arm. The host was very kind and brought more mats and rugs to help prevent the kids falling down but wasn’t a 100% solution because more falls hapened. The Pool was clean. A Personal security guard kept watch at night. I didn’t know that was needed. We Felt safe. Host was accommodating.
