The Space
This tropical home features a private pool and is ideal for gatherings of family or friends. The centerpiece is a spacious open-air palapa serving as the main living area, comfortably accommodating up to 20 guests. It includes a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful hardwood dining table overlooking the pool.
Each bedroom opens directly to the garden and pool area. The king bedroom and the twin bunk room are housed in separate standalone cabinas, each with a full bathroom. The other three bedrooms and a den with a sofa bed are located in a separate structure that has two full bathrooms.
The pool is larger than most private pools in the area and offers both shallow and deep ends suitable for jumping or diving. At night, colorful pool lights can be controlled with a remote. There are also three outdoor showers available.
In 2025, a water tank and pump were installed to ensure uninterrupted water supply during any local outages.
Location
The property is situated one block off the main road, providing a peaceful environment free from road noise and surrounded by natural sounds. It is directly across from Cabinas Las Olas, which features an elevated boardwalk through the mangroves leading to the beach.
Playa Avellanas is a scenic 10-minute walk away via a path through Cabinas Las Olas, passing native trees from Northern Guanacaste, monkeys, and iguanas before reaching the weathered wooden boardwalk through the mangroves.
Alternatively, you can drive or bike to the beach a few minutes down the main beach access road, where parking is available near the well-known Lola’s and La Purruja restaurants—excellent choices for lunch or watching the sunset.

We stayed in Ginny’s place for 7 nights with a large group that included two young children. We had a blast at the pool, relaxing in the outdoor living spaces, and exploring Playa Avellana. Ginny and her co hosts are incredibly helpful, responsive, and were sure to take care of anything that popped up during the stay. Would definitely come back!

My family of 10 spent Christmas here. It’s a lovely half mile walk to the beach where you will see birds and monkeys and iguanas. We felt safe and enjoyed seeing wildlife and surfing at the beach.

We had an amazing stay with 12 kids/teenagers at Casa Uluwatu for our twins birthday party. The open living space, the very well stocked kitchen, the amazing pool, the comfy beds, the proximity to the beach…everything was perfect!Ginny the host has been extremely friendly, flexible and easy to communicate with. Beautiful house in one of the most beautiful beaches in Guanacaste! Very spacious house for big groups with a fantastic pool and shared areas for celebrating special events or just enjoying some time in the beach! Would definitely go back.

What a perfect place for our family of 10. The pictures really don't do it justice - it felt like we were at a resort! We had plenty of room to spread out between the different casitas and the beautiful palapa was a great place to relax, play cards or prepare a wonderful meal to share. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed. The pool was a great way to cool off after the day's activities! The area was quiet and away from the crowds of Tamarindo which was certainly close enough if needed. There were a handful of restaurants walkable (our favorite was Il Rustico) from the house along with the beach. Surfboard rentals were easy and reasonably priced, and we enjoyed several days surfing. We would absolutely stay here again.
