A real gem of a location! The home was very comfortable and surrounded by nature. We loved sitting in the hammock and watching the (many) monkeys meters away in the trees. Even better was the “cold” tub which was so refreshing after a day at the beach and where our daughter spent hours at a time. The area has a lovely beach nearby, some delicious restaurants, and a market just a few minutes away that had all the supplies we needed. Be careful to keep your food in the fridge or tightly sealed as there are critters of various shapes and sizes but that is to be expected for being literally in the jungle! Would gladly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a place in the area.

This air b&b was amazing! Sophie is a great host and quick to answer any questions you may have. Her guidebook was also very helpful for us as it was our first time in Costa Rica.

A spectacular place. From the moment you arrive, you feel the tranquility of the natural surroundings: pure green, birds, and silence. The construction is beautiful — wood and palm everywhere, very cool even though the Guanacaste sun is beating down outside. Everything was impeccably clean and tidy, with attention to every last detail. The private pool saved our afternoons with the little ones. And the location is perfect: minutes from Playa Grande and with everything close by. Sophie is an excellent host, very attentive. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended. 🌴

It was a perfect stay in every way. The accommodation, the host, and the cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home.

Magical space! Perfect distance from the beach to spend a day playing in the waves and then retreat back to the jungle to enjoy this peaceful and well thought out cottage. Everything is exactly as pictured, and yet somehow even more beautiful in person. My kids loved the big swimming pool as well as having their own private plunge pool, and we appreciated every extra touch such as pool and beach toys as well as games, books, and wildlife guides. I took as many photos to capture the stunning aesthetic of this cottage as I did the howler monkey families, many birds, and other wildlife that passed by. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We loved Sophie’s little piece of paradise nestled in the trees which felt so private and peaceful but was also very close to amenities like restaurants, shops, groceries and the beach. The place is super well laid out and was comfortable and had everything we needed. The plunge pool was a bonus but the shared large pool was our sons’ favourite! We saw lots of wildlife, coati’s, monkey’s, squirrels, birds and butterflies. We would absolutely stay here again and loved our time in this area. Also to note, the beach at Playa Grande is a national park so it’s free from hotels, restaurants and shops which makes it super peaceful and pristine. Great place to spend some time and marvel in the beauty of Costa Rica!

Our stay at Sophie's place was perfect! Ahead of time she gives you all the details you need to know. Sophie was away during our visit so unfortunately we didn't get to meet her but her co-host Cristina was very helpful with any questions we had. She scheduled us wonderful massages right on the terrace at the house. I highly recommend! We had a family of Howler monkeys visit for a few hours one day which was really fun to watch! We enjoyed the Playa Grande area and would come back again!

this place is even more beautiful than the pictures. we love, love, loved it! the outdoor space is relaxing, open and clean. love the little wading pool. highly recommend.
