Elevated on a mountainside and surrounded by verdant tropical landscapes, Casa Blue was designed by the late Steve Adams from San Diego, California. The estate’s standout feature is its unmatched ocean vistas. The property is within a gated community and has its own gated entrance. A staff bungalow is positioned at the entrance, providing both security and privacy.
The main house, named for its soft pale blue color, draws inspiration from the scenic landscapes of Southern France. Upon entering through the gate, guests are welcomed by an enchanting outdoor patio featuring a tranquil fountain and a barbecue area, all crafted with exquisite grey stone. These details create a warm, inviting atmosphere that blends seamlessly with the tropical surroundings.
The glass-enclosed entrance hallway allows natural sunlight to fill the space throughout the day, offering breathtaking views from the moment you step inside. The heart of the residence combines the kitchen, grill patio, dining area, and living room into a casual, relaxed environment. Bi-folding glass doors open directly onto the pool and deck, merging indoor and outdoor living spaces and immersing guests in the stunning ocean proximity.
At the center of the expansive exterior deck, a thatched-roof rancho provides a peaceful retreat. Inside, a cozy daybed invites relaxation, while outside, the 65-foot infinity pool overlooks the endless ocean. The wooden deck includes comfortable seating and leads to an outdoor dining area, ideal for alfresco meals. This serene setting offers uninterrupted ocean views, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the surroundings.
An outdoor Jacuzzi on the pool deck is a perfect spot for relaxation and stargazing at night. The warm water, gentle jets, and peaceful ambiance create a soothing escape beneath the starry sky.
The master bedroom is located in a private wing of the main house and features a spacious terrace, office space, walk-in closet, luxurious bathtub, and the unique benefit of both indoor and outdoor showers. Two additional guest bedrooms open onto terraces equipped with comfortable hammocks, providing stunning ocean views. Each bedroom includes a private en-suite bathroom for convenience and privacy.
The two guest bungalows each have their own bathroom and outdoor shower. These outdoor showers offer a distinctive experience, allowing guests to bathe while surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest. This arrangement combines luxury, privacy, and a connection to nature, making it ideal for guests seeking a peaceful and refreshing stay.
While the main house is designed to maximize pleasant weather and cross ventilation, all common areas and bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning to ensure comfort regardless of outdoor conditions. The bungalows have portable air conditioning units.
An exterior stairway leads to an upper deck, a tranquil sanctuary perfect for yoga, massages, or enjoying cocktails while watching the sun set over the vast ocean horizon.
The property also includes a spacious TV room with a Smart TV, a book library, and a comfortable couch. This room can be closed off from the rest of the house with a sliding door, providing a quiet space for movies or a game room suitable for both adults and children.

This Airbnb is INSANELY beautiful! 😍 From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The views were absolutely breathtaking 🙌🏾 the pictures don’t do them justice! 🌅✨ The pool and jacuzzi were incredible and made the stay feel like a true luxury getaway. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious. Every part of the property was thoughtfully designed and made us feel like we were staying at a high-end resort. And on top of the property being amazing, the host was truly wonderful, kind, helpful, welcoming and responsive throughout our entire stay. Alejandra made sure we had everything we needed and made the experience even better. Honestly this was one of the most beautiful Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The views, the pool, the jacuzzi, the rooms, the atmosphere OMG EVERYTHING was perfect. We didn’t want to leave! 😂❤️ 10/10 experience and I would absolutely stay here again🙌🏾👌🏾

My family (8 adults and 1 child ) spent 1 week here and had an amazing stay. This is an absolutely stunning Airbnb in all aspects: large comfortable bedroom and living spaces; well equipped kitchen; stunning views and outside living area; amazing pool and jacuzzi. A perfect Airbnb and location to relax and spend quality time together. The house, garden and pool area were maintained daily by caretakers who were discreet, friendly and helpful. Our host was helpful with any queries and shared a very helpful house manual with lots of practical information and local recommendations. I would definitely recommend a 4x4 to access the property.

We had an amazing stay and couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Four generations of our family stayed here, and the layout was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, which made our time together comfortable and relaxing. The property is beautiful and had everything we needed, including a playpen for the baby. We especially loved the outdoor living area, where we spent most of our time making memories together. A special thank you to Joselyn, who came each morning to make the beds and sweep/freshen the house, and to Elyin, whose hard work kept the grounds looking beautiful. Alejandra was responsive and wonderful to work with. We appreciated all recommendations and did rent 4WD vehicles. It ended up being exactly what we needed to comfortably access the property. The only downside was the bugs, but that's part of being in a tropical jungle, and we were warned ahead of time. It didn't take away from an unforgettable stay!

We had a great time! Alejandra was excellent! Very cool house. Could use a littleTLC here and there, and more Sonos speakers, but overall very cool. Great views, great pool and vibe. Very serene. The iguanas, howler monkeys, etc. add to the ambiance. Drive from main road is very steep up and down so have a 4x4 vehicle for ease. House is near Playa Grande which seems to be an up and coming town (for good or for bad) but very relaxed. Tamarindo is 30 minutes away. Much busier. We preferred the proximity to Playa Grande. Heurto pizza was great in PG and their local market by pharmacy is really good. Produce stand down the road on left also really good. “Rural” on in Tamarindo was a very good restaurant too. Jocelyn is the caretaker and comes everyday at 7am but if you prefer her to come later or not at all - not a problem just ask Alejandra. The only thing to suggest would be 8 beach chairs, umbrellas and a cooler (and surf and boogie boards). We would go again! Thank you Alejandra.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful, spacious, and unique this home is. It was spotless and incredibly well maintained, making it easy to settle in and relax. The pool was definitely the highlight for our family we spent hours enjoying it every day, and it made our vacation feel like a true luxury getaway. The property offers plenty of space to spread out while still feeling cozy and welcoming. Everything exceeded our expectations, and it was the perfect home base for exploring the Tamarindo area. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It’s hard to say enough good things about this beautiful home. Every detail was so well thought out. The decor, interior design, layout, views… 10/10. If you’re looking for a true escape from reality, this is the place to book. Alejandra was so welcoming and responsive, and the house staff was so friendly.

Casa Blue was absolutely perfect for our group of 8 women. We loved sitting in the palapa to enjoy coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening, while taking in the stunning view. We had relaxing days around the gorgeous infinity pool and hot tub. The home is spacious and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and lovely bedrooms. As other reviewers have said, there are no restaurants within walking distance and you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle to access the house. We hired a private chef one night and had a fabulous dinner outdoors on the beautiful patio. Alejandra is a very welcoming and responsive host and the housekeepers keep the house very clean, including making beds daily. Highly recommend Casa Blue!

This stay at this beautiful house was so WORTH it! Tamarindo was good for us because of this beautiful house. We could sense how much thought went behind each and every corner and how it’s so open and perfect for families. I can’t pick a favorite area of the house because all of it was just so beautiful but I’ll pick the outdoor area because my family had the best time soaking in the hot tub at night and enjoying the pool during day time. Just so perfect.
