Casa Luz is hard to put to words. The home is beautiful. Every piece, down to the door knobs, is carefully curated from Steven and Mariano’s travels. Their love and stewardship for their home comes through in every detail. The location is perfect. Check in was easy. The house kitchen is stocked beyond what you could ever need. I want to come back to San Miguel just to stay at Casa Luz again!

Spent 4 nights at Mariano and Steven's place with my bridal party for my bachelorette and it was a DREAM! It was always a joy to come home after walking around SMA or doing an excursion. Our favorite part was doing a private chef dinner on the amazing roof top with awe-inspiring views of San Miguel. The beds were super comfortable and everything very clean. Mariano and Steven were very responsive and check in/check out was flawless. Highly recommend their place to anyone coming to San Miguel!

In short, I would return a thousand times. This house is a dream.

This Airbnb proved to be one of our favorite spots - ever! It was perfect for our family (5 adults + 1 child) -all living apart, to come together again. We were in San Miguel for a larger extended family event that kept us very busy and away from the house more than we would have liked but we welcomed coming “ home” each evening to a relaxing, beautiful, warm , comforting home. Everything about the house was exceptional- the artwork, books, furnishings, and their story. The house was roomy with separate patios per room. The rooftop patio was amazing especially in the evening. We also loved the location ! Including the walk twice a day up the hill! That was by choice! Experiencing Mexico this way- living amongst the locals, experiencing the culture and meeting the most wonderful people, that’s what really made this place so special. We also took very good advice and had Gaby prepare our first evening meal. Exceptional! Thanks to all

We couldn’t rave more about our stay if we tried! Casa Luz was spacious, perfectly curated and the ideal backdrop to our joint 30th birthday celebrations. S & M were incredibly welcoming, always responsive and made us feel like we were at home. Couldn’t recommend more!

Words cannot capture how I feel about this home. It’s a home, not an air bnb. Great time, effort & expense went into every detail. Most houses in SMA are only accessible by narrow sidewalks, which is super charming but just makes what they accomplished that much more impressive. The art is fun, the linens heavenly, the lighting warm. It’s hard to decide whether you want to enjoy the pool, take in the views from the rooftop, sink into the sofa in the living room, or walk around the neighborhood. It is a bit further from the center, but that’s nice bc it’s quieter (still bring earplugs) and the views couldn’t be better. Truly my favorite house in my favorite city. It was an honor to enjoy their home.

I cannot say enough amazing about Mariano and Steven’s place. It’s like stepping into a wonderful curated world. Because it’s their part time home, everything feels so intentional and luxurious. I had some the best sleep ever in an Airbnb because it was so comfortable. It was in close proximity to everything. The only thing is it can be quite a hike back up after exploring the town. But it’s good exercise. We would highly recommend to anyone.

Mariano and Steven's place is a little gem in the middle of the most beautiful little town. Every room in suite and decorated with local artisanal ceramics, Fabrics, decor and every trinket imaginable. A pleasure to the eye and very happy to be part of for a couple of days. I will definitely come back!!

This was by far my favorite Airbnb. What a special place! The home is gorgeous and very well stocked with excellent products. Each bedroom has its own bath and the designer touches are beautiful. Definitely walkable to the lovely downtown area (but the hills are steep!) and restaurants and shops are abundant. The guide book located in the home is extremely helpful. I can't wait to return to beauty!
