Nestled among the coconut palm trees, built on the sands of the public beach, Costa Palmera (sleeps 13) is a vacation home that will leave you breathless and ready to come back. Swim and surf right outside the house. Sandy soft bottoms and playful waves to ride. We are located in Playa Grande, walking distance to the rest of town and all of it's amenities.

Our home has a privately built-in swimming pool with swim-up stools and BBQ area. Excellent maid service is included daily. We provide linens and beach/bath towels. Cooking is available at an additional cost. Teo, a private masseuse can be hired and massages performed on the premises. Guard on the property at night.
Unlike many vacation properties, Costa Palmera is open and airy, doused with a contemporary touch in the interior of the home. This 4-bedroom beach house has furnishings in every room, along with air conditioning in all rooms. The kitchen and dining room face out towards the ocean leaving for an alluring view of the Pacific Ocean and magnificent sunsets at dusk. The house is equipped with high speed WIFI, making it possible for one to accomplish their daily tasks at work while basking in the sun and enjoying their tropical get away.
Also known as Las Baulas National Marine Park, Playa Grande is a sanctuary for the leatherback turtles whom every year return to the shoreline to lay their eggs. Because the beachfront is nationally protected, it is one of the cleanest beaches in the country. The shoreline is also relatively flat, making for a great place to take your shoes off and go for an evening walk early morning or at sunset. Please keep in mind that the beach access is public access, as Costa Rica does not have private beaches. We have an area that is designated for your group.

Known for its consistent world-class surf, Playa Grande is a surfer’s paradise. The winds are frequently offshore making for well-shaped waves and great surf. Unlike many prestigious surf breaks, the flat, sand-bottomed beach of Playa Grande makes it possible for surfers of all skill levels to have a great time. Surf lessons are just a phone call away and right out in front of the villa. We provide many amenities likebeach games, boogie boards, beach chairs and hammocks.
The things to do are left to the imagination to explore, including golfing, horseback riding, rainforest excursions, volcano tours, ATVing, fishing, sailing, and much more.
With Playa Flamingo to the north and the bustling beach town of Tamarindo a few miles to the south, Playa Grande is at the epicenter of Guanacaste. Tamarindo has great nightlife on weekends and is a great place to have a lively evening with friends and family. There are a few family owned restaurants near the house, along with a fully equipped surf shop to rent surf boards and/or purchase apparel and many other items.

The owners take great care making sure Casa Costa Palmera is the best rental house on the beach. Repairs and upgrades occur frequently as the proximity to salt water and air can wear on the house quicker than non-beachfront homes. Please immediately alert staff and management if anything is not working properly at the house.
Guest access You will have the full house, pool area, and very massive parking lot all to yourselves. All beaches in Playa Grande are public, but we have a space where we put out our lounger chairs & hammocks, so you can be on the beach in your own little spot daily. Every detail of your stay will be taken care of for you, so all you have to do is concentrate on relaxing and enjoying your stay!

Pictures do not do this home and location justice!!! It’s breathtaking and the house is stocked with everything you need for pool, cooking, beach, sleeping, bathing… the staff is over the top! Tatiana the chef is out of this world, Marcos the night guard is very funny and amazing, and Tea the masseuse and cleaner is so attentive and wonderful. Our family trip was amazing here and we will be back!

The home is beautiful and spacious you cannot beat the view! As this was a family, relaxing vacation we went from the beach to the pool, and then back to the beach! The home is extremely spacious. It was exactly what I was looking for.

The house was so wonderful for a group of 9 of us. Plenty of room for everyone and we loved that every bedroom had a bathroom. The pool is so nice to cool down in and enjoy complete privacy. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the front porch enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The house staff were amazing and kept it very clean and organized. We absolutely recommend to hire Tatiana to cook! Wow. Just wow!!

Beautiful location. Beautiful home with pool right on the beach. Very comfortable and cozy furniture. Each bedroom has it own connected bath and that worked well for us. Everything was well taken care of and very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Casa Costa Palmera is special not only because of the absolutely beautiful location but also because of the amazing people who work so hard to make your stay everything you want it to be. We had an incredible stay and truly couldn’t have asked for a better place for our family vacation. Shawna was an amazing host. She helped coordinate all of our excursions and transportation ahead of time, and everything was seamless and incredibly well organized. The location was perfect, right on the beach, which made it easy to relax and enjoy every day. The home itself was very well maintained. It was straightened daily, and the outdoor areas were swept and kept in pristine condition. Everyone we interacted with, from Shawna to the excursion companies, was friendly, helpful, and professional. Overall, a great experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an stress-free, beautiful getaway.

Beautiful home. Was even nicer than the photos. Absolutely loved the waterfall in the pool and was great for our family and little kids to play on the beach right out the front door. Shawna was extremely helpful and responsive.

Shawna's place was so wonderful! It was the perfect place for our group. We enjoyed the amenities, the location, her hospitality, Tatiana's cooking, and the especially the location. Shawna also went out of her way to make sure we were aware of the ocean swells that made it unsafe for us and our little ones to play in the water. She helped us arrange an estuary tour and it was so easy to do thanks to her. Can't say enough about this place and Shawna's hospitality and we really hope to come back someday!
