Rancho Oasis Casita

We absolutely loved our stay at John’s casita in Rancho Santana! The casita itself is gorgeous, incredibly well-kept, comfortable, and perfectly located right in the center of the property, making it an ideal home base for exploring everything Rancho Santana has to offer. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was John. He was incredibly attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was also an absolute wealth of information! His local knowledge and recommendations made our experience so much more memorable. From the best places to eat and explore to the hidden gems and must-do activities, John really knows all the spots. John’s casita is the perfect place to stay. He can point you in the right direction for whatever kind of experience you are looking for. Thank you John!!!

John is a generous host that clearly takes pride in his home and, more importantly, your experience. His place is tastefully decorated in the heart of Rancho Santana (< five minutes from the main building and main break). He was attentive throughout our stay, providing choice food recommendations and ensuring our needs were met. I look forward to seeing him again.

An Unforgettable Stay — A Truly Special Home As someone who is quite demanding when choosing places to stay, I can truly say our time at John’s casita exceeded all expectations. From the very beginning, John was an exceptional host—attentive, trusting, and incredibly warm. The house itself is a peaceful haven. What makes it so special is the intentionality behind every detail: wherever you sit or look, every corner seems to tell a story and invites you to slow down and rest. Everything in the home worked seamlessly. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the store, the pool, and a few steps from the beach, making everything effortless. To top it off, taking care of Blacky and Cookie, his wonderful cats, added the sweetest, most welcoming touch to our stay. We left with unforgettable memories (and already planning our return!). We couldn't recommend staying at John’s place more highly to anyone looking for an exceptional stay. Thank you so much, John!

We really enjoyed our stay at John's Casita. We didn't know much about Rancho Santa coming into our vacation. We had looked at numerous places but were concerned about proximity to main amenities. John's Casita is in the perfect location. The main Inn is steps away which leads to the beautiful pools and beaches. Access to hiking / biking trails are literally out the front door. The market is a short walk up the road right next to the pickleball / tennis courts. The spa and yoga are steps away. If you want to fully enjoy all that Rancho Santa has to offer John's spot is a perfect landing spot. And when you don't want to take the short walk to the Inn enjoy your private beautiful patio which offers privacy. Or stay in and make a nice dinner in the fully functional kitchen. We would definitely stay out John's place again and are so happy we chose his Casita as our home base while visiting Rancho Santana.

John’s casita exceeded our expectations. The place is private, surrounded by nature and just a few minutes walking to the beach/pool area. John was there to greet us and gave us the best recommendations including a local masseuse who came to the house and gave us the best massage ever and she even brought her own massage bed and oils for an amazing price we still can’t believe. We visited some local restaurants and visited some nearby beaches, John was always responsive and ready with advice and recommendations about the area that he clearly knows very well. The highlight of our stay was cookies!!! His black and white cat who likes to be out and about but will also come back to give you some snuggles every now and then. Our son absolutely loves him, he was the sweetest and most caring polite cat we’ve ever seen. We are definitely coming back to John’s casita and we can’t wait to see Cookies aagain!

I can’t say enough good things about the Casita and our wonderful host John. The house and garden were even better than the pictures - spacious, clean, fully-stocked and well-designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. The property is situated within a beautiful and safe community, and access to the neighboring resort and its wide range of amenities is available. John himself was the perfect host - he was super communicative, gracious and beyond helpful, and his recommendations were always spot-on. We also fell in love with Cookies, the house cat, who was the friendliest, sweetest character. It was our first time in Nicaragua and this was the perfect introduction. We cannot wait to come back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend John’s place to anyone.

Se had a fantastic stay at Rancho Santana! The accommodations were stunning and easy access to the beach. John, our host, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making our experience truly memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax in paradise!! We had an incredible 5-night stay at John’s Casita on Rancho Santana and truly could not have asked for a better experience. John was an outstanding host from start to finish. He was extremely communicative, quick to respond, and went out of his way to help arrange everything for our trip. He coordinated boards, helped with the car, and made sure all the small details were handled so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. It made traveling easy and completely stress free. The casita itself is perfect for a family or a group of friends. It feels very private and tucked away, yet it is incredibly central within Rancho Santana. You are just a short walk to La Tienda, the hotel reception, Playa Santana, and the pickleball and tennis courts, which made everything seamless and convenient. The house was spotless and very well stocked. The AC was strong and kept the place cool after long days in the sun. There were plenty of towels, and we appreciated having extras like pickleball paddles

The house is in perfect condition and is located in relation to the beach and club house. We thank John for his attention and care throughout our stay. We recommend the place.
