2BR Chalet in Santa Cruz la Laguna

Our stay at Kristiina’s place was perfect. It is absolutely gorgeous to have a sunset view out of any bedroom waking up in the morning. It is incredibly peaceful and it’s easy to get a boat from there to go to any of the other towns. Even though Santa Cruz is small town there are some really great and fun food options right around there. The beds were comfortable, the showers were nice and hot or cold, depending on what you wanted, the kitchen was well equipped, and I think the place was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. We had a slight mishap in our trip that had absolutely nothing to do with our stay there, it just happened when we were away from the Airbnb. The owners were very helpful and even offered to buy us pizza because we had had a hard day. That is the definition of hospitality in my book. I would gladly come back to stay here anytime!

The place is beautiful and has everything you need for an incredible stay. It is very quiet and private. The facilities are in optimal condition, and the view and location are unbeatable.

My family had a wonderful stay at the Sunrise Chalet! This home has a stunning view of the lake. The information and helpful hints provided by our host made navigating the area so helpful.

Amazing place in an amazing location - the pictures do not do it justice. The checkin and checkout process were so easy, with someone coming to meet us directly at the docks and help bring our stuff to the home. We could not recommend this place any more! The location right on the lake is pristine and is one of the best places in Atitlan for swimming. Kristina helped arrange a home cooked meal from a Santa Cruz local, Dona Elena - we highly recommend doing that!

We had a wonderful stay at the chalet. The property was a peaceful oasis by the lake, and it was the perfect place to relax. The host was incredibly responsive and provided helpful recommendations for boat rentals and transportation, which made our trip even smoother. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and would gladly stay here again. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Our stay at Outi Kristiinas place was amazing! It is in the most beautiful location on the lake that is also walkable to local restaurants and a kayak/paddle board shop! We loved swimming from the private deck and lounging in the hammocks on the front patio. The boats or “launchas” are extremely accessible from the dock and run about every 10 mins (or less). Outi Kristiina was extremely responsive and went out of her way to help us attain portable crib for my youngest son while we were there. She recommended a local cook, Elena, who cooked us a private, authentic, local meal that was delicious! The house does have a filtered water spout as well as a bottled water jug which we greatly appreciated. My family and I would absolutely stay here again if we come back to Lake Atitlan. I cannot recommend this Airbnb enough!

My group and I had a great stay here! The photos do not do the views justice. Our host was extremely flexible and responsive whenever any issues came about. My advice is to read all the instructions/tips that are given by the host it will save a lot of stress. Santa Cruz was a bit different to navigate for me but the instructions/resources given helped to get around. You will also get your steps in for sure 😅. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, the house and location were great! The host is very helpful and responsive, and the house was equipped with just about everything we needed. The only negative to note is that the house does not have A/C (that's fine, it was disclosed in the description), but there are many windows and doors that do not have screens; and there were hundreds of flies in the house everyday. So if that is something that bothers you, I suggest you come prepared and bring some devices/solutions to try to reduce that annoyance.
