Just as it says in the description. Everything was great. To get there, you need at least a 4x2 vehicle.

Overall a very good experience. The forest and trails are pretty nice! Only complaints are that there’s no cell signal with Kolbi/ICE, which was stated as the only working company, but not even that. Also a 4x4 is 100% necessary, as well as a car with enough clearance. You don’t want to walk down on foot with rain. Shower was very week and not very hot, and oven did not work. For the price paid it is ok, not bad and not great.

The host really need to fix the mouse problem! For the night, I left an avocado on the table while not knowing there are mouses around and found it eaten the next morning, and there were mouse droppings everywhere in the kitchen. The most horrible thing is before we check out, I flipped the pillows in the bedroom and found mouse droppings ON THE BED! I've been having diarrhea since the first morning there and stopped the second day after I left the place, thinking about it now, might be related to the mouse too. The host should either fix the mouse problem or put up big warnings about it so people know what they are signing up for when they book the stay here.

An unusual cabin. Full privacy, right in the heart of nature, an abundance of birds that is hard to imagine. The jackals came up to two meters from the house and from us, and many other birds and varieties that we saw. An experience of nature, of being in the forest, in complete silence. The hot water flows with a not so strong force, and it is indeed cold at night, but the atmosphere is so strong that it is an unforgettable experience. Really inspiring. The relationship with Dirtchi and her family was great, they helped with everything we asked for, and with a smile. Highly recommended for lovers of nature and tranquility. If we're ever in the area again, it's very likely we'll return to this cabin. It's really worth it.

Beautiful and cozy property a few steps from the river and waterfall. With that sound, you can rest wonderfully. Birds can be seen even inside the house because the large windows allow it. Beds very comfortable.

It is one of the best places I visited in Savegre to easily view quetzals!!! 7 quetzals around the house at 5:23am, without walk!!!

First of all, my husband and I (who have stayed in a different Casa Monge cabin in the past) were unable to stay this time due to a last minute family emergency. Our friends did stay there. So I can't really speak to details about the place. Our friends mentioned difficulty with the access road, despite having a 4WD vehicle--so maybe a little more information about that would be helpful to others in the future. Dirchy was very prompt and kind in her response to me when I needed to cancel for the two of us at the last minute, and refunded our part of the cost. She was also a great host when we stayed there before, with outstanding communications. We hope to return to Casa Monge in the future.

Great place to stay with a nice surrounding. The only downside is the last 50’ of the driveway very steep and not all 4x4 vehicles will be able to make the climb.
