The Space
Hi! I’m Luis, and I manage Trebolmar. After hosting digital nomads for five years, I understand how crucial reliable internet is for remote work. That’s why we installed a mesh Wi-Fi network supported by three providers—two fiber-optic connections and Starlink—delivering speeds up to 400 Mbps. Each router includes a battery backup, ensuring you won’t miss any video calls or meetings.
Our property offers a perfect balance: start your day surfing, concentrate on your work when needed, and unwind by watching the sunset in the evening.
Location
We are situated in Playa Carmen, South Santa Teresa, just a two-minute walk from the beach. This area features waves ideal for beginner and intermediate surfers. Essential amenities such as bars, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, gyms, and coworking spaces are all conveniently within walking distance.
Sustainability
As a local Costa Rican deeply connected to my community, I prioritize nature and sustainability in our accommodation. Guests are encouraged to participate in composting and recycling efforts. We provide a water filter to reduce plastic bottle use. Additionally, most of our laundry and cleaning products are natural and biodegradable.
Property Details
One of my favorite spots is our garden, which includes shared work tables and hammocks—perfect for focusing or socializing with fellow travelers. Trebolmar consists of eight apartments arranged side by side, with spacious gated parking available.
This particular unit is upstairs and designed for long-term stays. It features a private kitchen, bathroom, and access to the shared laundry facilities. Inside, you’ll find:
- A queen bed (1.5 m x 2 m)
- A comfortable chair suited for extended work sessions
- An extra monitor to enhance your productivity
- An air conditioning unit in the bedroom that effectively cools the entire space

It was an exceptionally good stay. Luis took great care of us and found an excellent solution to a misunderstanding. It was clean and very quiet at night. Beautiful outdoor area with a table and hammocks. Washing machine available, which also worked out just fine. We would stay there again. It was great.

I loved staying at Trebolmar. Great location, and gave me a wonderful community of people that turned out to be the best past of my stay in ST. Luis was hands down the kindest and most responsive host I've had through Airbnb. Will come back here when I return to ST!

Luis was a phenomenal host and the space is a wonderful little escape from the business of the main road/santa teresa town. This is my 4th winter coming to Santa Teresa and Luis's apartment was my favorite place I stayed. A small connected apartment building with a large fenced in yard with hammocks, a grill, outdoor showers for after surfing/beach time and they're a 2 minute walk from one of my favorite beach access points in Santa Teresa. It feels like a home. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a homey/relaxing place to stay while visiting santa teresa.
