Pool and Quiet Hours
The pool and common areas are available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Please respect the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum if you are outside after 10:00 p.m. The administration asks guests to move indoors after that time.
Environmental Guidelines
Costa Rica is known for its biodiversity, renewable energy, and beautiful landscapes. Water and electricity conservation are especially important during your stay. The property’s electricity comes from hydroelectric power.
Guanacaste Province experiences droughts from December through April. The local water company may occasionally implement rolling shutoffs to conserve and replenish water supplies. The property has a dedicated backup holding tank, but guests are asked to use water responsibly.
Please:
- Turn off faucets while brushing your teeth or washing dishes.
- Reuse towels.
- Avoid running the washing machine or dryer for a single item.
- Report leaks, dripping faucets, or running toilets immediately.
- Turn off air conditioners when they are not in use.
The split air-conditioning units cool rooms quickly when doors and windows are closed. They are not designed to run continuously and may malfunction if operated 24 hours a day.
For stays of four weeks or longer, discounted rates include a maximum of 750 kilowatt-hours of electricity, approximately US$150. Guests are responsible for any overage. This allowance is sufficient for respectful use of the air conditioners and dryer.
Toilets and Toilet Paper
Do not flush toilet paper or other items down the toilets. Place toilet paper in the garbage bins provided in each bathroom. Extra bin liners are available in the property.
Many areas of Costa Rica use septic systems and gray-water treatment systems, and local pipes are narrower than those commonly found in North America. Flushing paper can easily clog the toilets.
Power and Internet
Although outages are less common than they were five years ago, the power or internet may occasionally go out. Please be patient while service is restored.
If the power or internet remains unavailable for more than one hour while neighboring properties have service, please message us so we can help resolve the issue.
Insects and Wildlife
Please do not leave food or garbage outside. Raccoons and skunks may tear open trash bags. Raccoons in Costa Rica are not generally aggressive, but they are not afraid of people. Skunks may spray if startled.
As this is a tropical country, you may occasionally see ants indoors. If you notice a large number of ants, please let us know so we can provide ant traps. Ants outdoors play an important role in the environment, so please leave them undisturbed.
Cockroaches are present in Costa Rica, and you may rarely see one indoors. This does not indicate that the property is dirty or infested. They may enter after construction or pest-control treatments, which take place three or four times a year. Costa Rican cockroaches are not like those commonly found in North America and are not social insects that live in groups. Cockroach spray is available in the property, or you may remove the insect yourself.
Finally, please do not feed the wildlife. Feeding wild animals is dangerous, illegal, and can cause them to become dependent on humans, potentially leading to their demise.

Liane is a Super great host. This is a second stay with Liane, but a different property this time. The buildings and surroundings are just beautiful. It has a feel of Italy to me. Fresh exterior paint, made the colors pop. A grounds keeper and pool keeper doing a great job keeping all in excellent condition. It is an easy walk to the beach, although it's on a roads edge and walking in gravel, allowed us to stop at different place to eat this trip. Little Luchia's great food and drinks. Tuesday taco day! Curries and Naan was most excellent. Don't miss Noi in town for great dairy free options, smoothies, acai bowls, killer breakfast options prepared well and very tasty. Ask for the ginger shot (not alcoholic) great for digestion/ tummy. Don't miss the best pizza in town- the Bake Yard. With a casual setting. A bit hidden but close to the condo. Enjoy your stay. Thanks Liane

This was a great place to stay in Tamarindo! It was quiet but close to the beach and all the shops and restaurants. Liane was very responsive and was quick to help us out when needed. I’d recommend Liane’s place to anyone especially if you value having access to a kitchen!

Our stay at Los Sueños 2 was great. Cute airbnb, a bit off the main road, so it was nice and quiet when home but still walkable to the action. The pool was the perfect place to cool off in the heat! Very quaint. When we took the chairs, wagon and umbrella to the beach, we realized the umbrella was broken, and Lianne replaced it for us right away. She was communicative and proactive. The walk to the beach for us was closer to about 18 minutes which wasn’t a problem, just farther than we expected. Overall great stay.

What an amazing place to book when staying in Tamarindo. This gated community is very close to the beach plus it has a central pool you can always take a dip in. Liane is an amazing host and was very quick to respond with any questions i had. The best part about this unit is it comes with everything you need for a short term or long term stay in Tamarindo. I would not hesitate to book this place again if it is available the next time i visit, i highly recommend it.

This is our 3rd time staying in Los Suenos and love this location. Not far from the action but far enough to not be bothered by the night life. Short walk to the beach, comfortable and clean. Kitchen well stocked, our own bbq to use. We appreciated the coffee to make each morning. There are even beach chairs provided, 2 coolers and a wagon to take to the beach. Liane is a great host, she does her best to accomodate any requests and is always very prompt in her correspondence. Clear instructions. We would recommend and look forward to returning again.
