Welcome to Monteverde Jungle Living Tree Houses
Hi! I’m Edwin. This project began when I discovered this extraordinary, vibrant place. I created these tree houses suspended in the canopy so you can live within the forest in harmony with, and respect for, nature.
Here, the environment takes center stage: birdsong, rain falling on the leaves, the calls of monkeys, and the glow of fireflies at dusk. This immersive refuge is designed to help you connect deeply with nature.
The Space
Jungle Living was born from a dream: to create a place where nature and rest could coexist in complete harmony.
From the beginning, my priority was to design a space that respected the wildlife already living in the forest. The name Jungle Living reflects this philosophy—not being above the environment, but living within it and coexisting respectfully in its natural habitat.
These cabins are suspended in the heart of the canopy, offering an immersive experience surrounded by the sights, sounds, and scents of the forest.
The Awakening of the Senses
- Listen to the birdsong.
- Take in the vibrant green of the forest.
- Breathe the distinctive scent of wet earth after the rain.
The Music of the Canopy
- Rain falling on the leaves.
- Wind moving through the trees.
- Howler monkeys calling from nearby.
- The songs of the bellbird and the clay-colored thrush, known locally as the yigüirro.
The Magic of the Night
- Absolute tranquility at sunset.
- The sounds of owls.
- Coatis searching for shelter for the night.
- Fireflies glowing among the trees, accompanied by the rhythm of the crickets.
There is no feeling quite like connecting deeply with nature. I have worked with dedication to create this refuge, combining the adventure of living among the trees with the comfort and thoughtful design needed to enjoy this natural spectacle.
Here, nature is always the protagonist. I hope you come and experience it for yourself.

An amazing stay! We even decided to change our plans around and stay an extra day. The space was clean and surrounded by nature. We saw howler and capuchin monkeys! Edwin was fabulous. He had great recommendations and helped us set up multiple tours. He also even tried to come let us know when monkeys were playing in the trees so we could see them. We can’t wait to come back!

Highly recommend staying here. Edwin was very welcoming and accommodated an early check-in so we could drop things off before a hike. He also arranged a night tour for us. Best part: We heard and saw howler monkeys on the property. Overall, a fantastic experience. There are fantastic restaurants and cafes withing walking distance, and it is only around 15 mins from town. Thank you Edwin for the wonderful and welcoming experience!

A very nice and pleasant room, among the trees. Anything you need is present. You can cook there. Pepper, salt, cooking oil and coffee/tea are also provided. Many animals can be seen in the garden. We were visited by a group of capuchin monkeys, coatis and even a raccoon. Highly recommend!

In the middle of the jungle in a tree house, exactly what we had hoped for. We spotted howler monkeys from the cabin, had a whole family of coatis visit, and saw a king woodpecker from our window. Nature has a tremendous sense of calm, and Edwin is very helpful. Very satisfied with our stay!

We spent 3 nights; it was great 😍 The accommodation is unusual, perched in the trees, right in the jungle. We thought we would see more coatis, but we only saw one, although there were lots of birds! We also saw an agouti on the path. The accommodation is well-equipped; there may be a bit of a shortage of dishes, but it's really OK. Be sure to close everything properly to keep out the bugs 😉 Thanks for a great experience!
