Casa Familia is a 3-bedroom villa with a private pool, screened wraparound deck, and covered palapa. Walk three minutes to West Bay Beach, restaurants, bars, and dive shops.
Overview
Whether you are planning a family escape, a ladies’ getaway, a guys’ trip, or a relaxing couples’ retreat, Casa Familia offers a comfortable base in West Bay. The house is an easy three-minute walk from the heart of Roatan’s beautiful West Bay Beach, placing you close to everything while still providing a peaceful private setting.
Restaurants, bars, dive shops, and other amenities are all within easy walking distance. Guests can also enjoy the pool, sun shelf, and palapa, creating a quiet oasis on the property. Cable television and high-speed Wi-Fi are included.
The Space
Casa Familia’s main house features:
- Three bedrooms and three bathrooms
- Five beds total: three queen beds and one set of bunk beds
- An open-plan living and dining area with vaulted ceilings
- A large kitchen with an island, full-size refrigerator, and stove
- A spacious, fully screened wraparound deck
- Direct access from the deck to the pool area
- Quality linens in all bedrooms
The bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were renovated in December 2024.
Pool and Outdoor Areas
The property includes a 14-by-24-foot freshwater pool with a large covered palapa and pool deck.
The approximately 1,000-square-foot wraparound deck is fully screened and furnished with:
- Outdoor seating
- Hammocks
- A grill
The screened deck provides a comfortable place to relax outdoors while helping keep flying pests away at night.

Some beach chairs are foldable and kept at the house, while larger chairs are available closer to the public beach access.
As of March 24, 2024, the pool is exclusively for Casa Familia guests.
Beach Access and Discounts
Guests have access to a private beach section at West Bay Beach reserved for community guests.
Casa Familia guests receive special discounts at Gula restaurant, located beside Henry Morgan. Gula serves Italian food and offers a quality wine selection at reasonable prices. Reservations and discount arrangements can be made through the property manager. Discounts are also available for Gula’s daily beach club pass.
Guests may also enjoy complimentary beach chairs at Beachers Restaurant with a food or drink purchase. A small charge may apply from Tuesday through Thursday during cruise ship times.
Golf Cart
A golf cart is available on-site for:
- $10 per day
- $50 per week
The cart may be used within the local community but cannot be driven on the main road. Please inquire about availability when booking and pay for the cart at the property.
The golf cart is not included as part of the rental. If it is unavailable or stops working, a replacement may not be readily available. Guests are responsible for any damage that occurs while the cart is in their possession.

- The Apartment: One-bedroom, one-bathroom ground-level apartment attached to the main house, with a separate entrance.
- Four-bedroom configuration: The main house and apartment can be booked together through a separate listing on this platform.
- The Villa @ Casa Familia: A large one-bedroom, one-bathroom guesthouse with its own exclusive pool.
Diving
Several quality dive shops are within easy walking distance of Casa Familia. West Bay Divers is the hosts’ personal favorite, but they are happy to connect guests with any dive operator they prefer.
Guest Access
Guests have full access to:
- The main house
- The beach
- The pool
- The palapa area
Guests may also use the laundry machines in the utility room. Please arrange access with the local property manager.
Quiet Hours
If you are outside late at night, please be considerate of neighbors who may be sleeping. Guests are welcome to enjoy the property but are asked to observe quiet hours from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.

The location worked out well - away from the bustle of beach yet close enough to walk or use provided golf cart. Having the security guard at beach made it nice to leave belongings without worry. The pool was a wonderful respite after the beach. The personnel on site were very gracious and responsive to our needs. Of what we saw of Roatan, I would say West Bay beach and the area is the best location to stay. The beach is beautiful with snorkeling within easy swimming distance. The quality of the reef was a nice surprise which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your home!

We had a wonderful stay at this house in Roatán. The home is beautiful, airy, and very comfortable both inside and out. The kitchen is fully equipped and gorgeous, the internet was fast and reliable, and there were plenty of towels and extra bedding. We visited during the rainy season and spent lots of time on the wraparound, fully screened porch. The couches and hammock made it an incredibly comfortable space to relax. After several days of heavy rain, the road to the beach became muddy, but it didn’t bother us much, and Renee kindly offered the use of a golf cart. The beach nearby is beautiful and has many great restaurants and bars, making it easy to enjoy both relaxation and nightlife. The house is surrounded by banana plants and lush jungle trees, and we were lucky enough to see macaws flying around and sitting in the trees in front of the house. We absolutely recommend this place and would happily return.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay here. Great spot for easily accessing West Bay beach, but having our own quiet home to get away from the crowds when we wanted. The house had plenty of space and was SUPER clean with cool A/C. The host was very friendly and gave us local recommendations. The pool and pool deck were really nice for hanging out when we wanted a break from the beach. Getting to the beach from the house was quick and easy to walk or drive. Our favorite part of the beach was walking all the way past Infinity Bay and snorkeling over the coral right from the beach.

West Bay is very beautiful. The house was nice (we did not have the casita or apartment they were rented to others - this was not an issue at all). The house is nice in having 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. I recommend getting the golf cart as road down to the beach is very rutted and bumpy (coming into the property is very steep and on a blind entrance) so we used the cart as we didn't want to twist an ankle. The beach is nice, however, be prepared there are small boats (looking to be hired) in the water all along the beach. Also, you are constantly bombarded by people selling their wares. Access to the reef area is right out in the water.... saw lots of beautiful fish. The owner was very helpful and responsive. I felt the property manager (we never met her only her spouse) was very rushed in showing us the property and how to access everything, etc when we checked in. The housekeeper was elusive at best. There was never an opportunity to request she cook for us.

About 30-40 min away from the airport and down a steep hill, you will find this beautiful house. It is also located about 10 min walk away from the beach. We rented the golf cart they had available for us, which made it a quick 3-4 min ride to the beach. We used it every day! The host met us at the house and was very friendly throughout the stay. The house is beautifully renovated and very sturdy. We unfortunately got hit by the tropical storm Sara, but you could barely hear the rain from the inside. The host was very flexible with our stay as our flights got cancelled for 2 days. There is a cleaning lady who also could have cooked for us, but we didn't use the cooking service. The beach it self is beautiful and I saw a starfish in the ocean. We did not rent a car, and in hind sight, probably should have. Also, don't forget your mosquito repellent! They are crazy here.

Casa Familia was everything we were hoping for. Pretty easy to sum it all up: Quiet! Clean! Plenty of room for six adults and our two grandsons. We used West Bay Divers for over fifty dives (total) and the pool at the house was welcomed by all when we got back to the house. Comfortable beds and all furnishings. We stayed for 1 1/2 weeks and enjoyed every minute.
