The Bosque

Overview

CASAZUL is located in mar-A-mar, Santa Teresa’s only private, luxury, gated eco-community. The community offers:

Set on a hilltop, CASAZUL overlooks the coastline from Santa Teresa to Cabo Blanco, with the area’s most famous surf break directly in front of the property. The villa is surrounded by tropical forest, where guests may see howler monkeys, iguanas, squirrels, and a wide variety of bird species.

The Space

Located in “The Bosque” of mar-A-mar, this fully equipped luxury villa features spectacular ocean views and beautiful sunsets.

The villa’s carefully designed tropical architecture provides excellent natural ventilation and comfortable outdoor living in all weather conditions. Panoramic windows open onto spacious balconies, while fresh ocean breezes and an elegant marine atmosphere create a relaxing Santa Teresa experience. The entire house is also air-conditioned for guests who prefer it.

Main Level

The main level includes:

• An open-plan kitchen and living room
• Two air-conditioning units in the living room
• A large covered balcony with fans
• One master suite with an en-suite bathroom

Lower Level

One level below, the villa offers:

• A second air-conditioned master suite with an en-suite bathroom
• Two additional air-conditioned guest rooms
• A shared third bathroom
• One guest room with twin bunk beds
• One guest room with a king-size bed and a single pull-out bed

The villa accommodates up to 10 guests and is ideal for families and groups.

Guest Access

CASAZUL is located midway up the mar-A-mar hill, providing its breathtaking views. For convenient access, we recommend renting an ATV, Rhino, or four-wheel-drive vehicle. During the dry season, a regular car is also an option, although a four-wheel-drive vehicle is ideal for exploring Santa Teresa and its natural attractions.

From the parking area, the villa is reached by a 50-meter walk that includes eight steps. The main living area and one suite are located on the entrance level, while a wide spiral staircase leads down to the remaining bedrooms.

Guests have access to:

• The entire villa
• The villa’s private outdoor spaces
• The mar-A-mar community pool, available 24/7
• The small children’s play area with swings, available 24/7

La Lora beach and surf break, restaurants, cafés, shops, gyms, Pilates studios, and supermarkets are approximately a two-minute drive away.

For exploring farther afield, we recommend renting an ATV, Rhino, or four-wheel-drive vehicle. Santa Teresa and the surrounding beaches are best enjoyed with the freedom to explore.

Internet

The villa has fiber-optic internet through two different providers. If one service goes down, the other is available as a backup.

Wildlife and Insects

Guests may see wildlife in its natural habitat. Howler and white-faced monkeys often pass through the trees beside the house, along with iguanas and raccoons.

As is typical in Costa Rica, harmless insects such as ants, cockroaches, and geckos may also appear, particularly during the rainy season. This is a normal part of the tropical environment and is not a cleanliness issue.

Power Outages

Power cuts are common in Santa Teresa, and guests may experience them during their stay. This is a normal part of the local environment.

Humidity

Santa Teresa has an average annual relative humidity of 74%, with levels reaching up to 87% in October and dropping to approximately 71% in February. The high humidity can make it difficult for clothes to dry, especially during the rainy season. Clothing may take longer than usual to dry in these conditions.
