The Space

Casa Pomona is an expansive estate featuring a two-story main house, a principal glass-walled suite, and two separate bungalows.
Main House
The principal suite includes:
- An incredible bathroom with dual showerheads
- Glass ceilings and surrounding windows that fill the space with natural light
- A new split-type air-conditioning and heating unit for year-round comfort
Please note that the air-conditioning and heating unit is available only in the principal suite.
The main house also features:
- Indoor and outdoor living areas
- A cozy outdoor fireplace
- Multiple spaces for relaxing or working
- Two half bathrooms
- Two additional full bathrooms
- A family room with a television
- An additional bedroom
Bungalows
Two separate bungalows provide additional privacy for families or friends. Both include mini refrigerators, and one also has a kitchenette.
Surrounded by lush vegetation and magical gardens, each bungalow features:
- A daybed
- A workspace
- Ceiling fans or pedestal fans
- A private outdoor patio
- Hammocks
- Outdoor beds
- A fireplace
The bungalows offer peaceful places to relax in the filtered light beneath the tropical foliage.
Comfort and Linens
All rooms are furnished with high-quality natural cotton linens and towels, along with the amenities of home. If you forget something, simply ask, and we will be happy to help.
Gardens and Nature
Casa Pomona is surrounded by seemingly endless gardens, with something new to discover around every corner.
The fruit trees include:
- Plum
- Orange
- Lychee
- Star fruit
- Lime
- Guava
- Peach
- Pear
Guests are welcome to pick and enjoy the fruit. Our staff also uses much of it to prepare refreshing fruit drinks.
The gardens feature tropical trees and plants such as:
- Jaboticaba trees, whose marble-sized fruits grow directly from the bark
- Guayacán trees
- Lion’s claw plants
- Frangipani
- Majestic tabachín, also known as the fire tree
- Tropical jade vines growing around the eaves of the structures
The tropical jade produces fluorescent green flowers that hang overhead and attract hummingbirds. Their unusual appearance makes them impossible to miss.
Pool and Lawn
At the center of the gardens is a large pool with:
- A shallow platform for young children
- Enough length for lap swimming
- Nearby seating areas
- An expansive lawn for picnics or relaxing
The pool is heated by solar energy. It does not have a surrounding fence, so children must be supervised at all times. Gas and electric heaters are not used. As a result, the water may be cooler during the winter months, but a refreshing swim can feel especially welcome when you return to the sunshine.
Ornamental Pond
An ornamental pond filled with fish and aquatic plants has become one of Casa Pomona’s most beloved spaces. Surrounded by fruit trees, vibrant flowers, and lush vegetation, it offers a tranquil setting for rest and reflection.
The sound of gently moving water, floating lily pads, and graceful fish create a peaceful atmosphere where time seems to slow down. It is an ideal place to read, meditate, or simply enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
Location and Activities
Beyond the property gates, cobblestone streets lead to a variety of local experiences. Depending on the season, you can:
- Hike to nearby waterfalls during the rainy season
- Climb to the ancient temple atop Tepozteco mountain
- Enjoy fantastic food and craft cocktails at nearby establishments
- Go salsa dancing just around the corner
From the moment you arrive, Casa Pomona is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Guest Access
During your stay, the entire property is available for your use, except for the staff’s private areas. The pool, gardens, and other shared spaces are all yours to enjoy.
Service Staff
Casa Pomona is a full-service property with on-site staff, including:
- A gardener
- Housekeeping support
- Claudia, our cook
Meal Services
Breakfast preparation is included during your stay.
Claudia can also prepare lunch and dinner for an additional daily fee on the days requested:
- 1–6 guests: MXN $700 per day
- 7–12 guests: MXN $1,200 per day, including an additional kitchen helper for larger groups
Guests may provide their own ingredients, or Claudia can handle the grocery shopping. When she shops for you, an additional 25% service fee applies to the total ingredient cost.
Claudia is available until 4:00 PM, so lunch and dinner arrangements should be coordinated accordingly.
Additional Housekeeping
For groups of more than six guests, additional housekeeping support is strongly recommended because of the increased workload involved in caring for larger groups. The additional helper assists with general housekeeping and helps keep the home comfortable and well maintained while Claudia focuses on breakfast and kitchen service.
Additional housekeeping support is available for MXN $500 per day and can be arranged in advance.
Optional meal preparation services requested during your stay will be arranged in advance and processed through Airbnb.
Tips and Gratuities
To ensure gratuities are distributed fairly among the team members who support you, please leave any tips with our house manager, Claudia. She will be on-site to assist throughout your stay.
Gratuity is not included in the cost of your stay, so please plan accordingly. Additional meal services and personalized arrangements are also available; ask Claudia for details and pricing.
Pet on the Property
A very sweet female dog named Bendi lives on the property and is considered one of our co-hosts. She is friendly and accustomed to children.
For her health and to help ensure she remains in her designated space, please do not feed her.
If you have a dog allergy or any other concerns, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you.
Rural Setting
Tepoztlán is a rural community, and Casa Pomona is immersed in nature. Temperatures can vary widely, so please bring sturdy shoes and let your group know that the property offers a natural, rustic setting.

We enjoyed this place so much. Beautiful house, views and nature. Claudia, Cyndi and Francesca were wonderful to deal with. Everybody was thoughtful and attentive. Bendi was the cherry on the top! We would definitly come back in the near future.

This is the second time I've been to the house, and I like it more and more each time. It's a very nice house. It has everything you need to have a good time. It's super well equipped, the pool is a delight, and the social areas are very pleasant. The people who work at the house are very friendly and cook deliciously.

We loved our stay. We thought the house was spectacular, very well maintained, comfortable and with everything you need to enjoy yourself to the fullest. The service from both hosts was excellent. They were always super friendly, attentive and willing to help at all times. It was definitely a great experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Totally recommended!

Exceptional, one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The space is beautiful, pictures cannot do it justice. Your own resort: the landscape, the art, the furniture, the pool, the grass…all 10/10. Attention to detail in every corner. Our favorite part of the Airbnb was the hospitality of the host and onsite staff, Claudia and Cindy. They were so warm and made the experience amazing. At first we were a little apprehensive to have someone onsite until 4, but that quickly changed when we realized they really did just make the experience that much more comfortable for us. We didn’t get to the Airbnb until around 12AM and they graciously waited and even made us dinner upon arrival. I am running out of characters to keep talking about this place. Just book it you won’t regret it. We will absolutely be back.

The house is beautiful, the garden is lovely, everything is incredible. Francesca, Peter, and Claudia were super helpful at all times; they helped us book some massages. The place is amazing, and the service was fabulous. The photos don't do the house justice; it's actually much nicer. I highly recommend it; we loved it.

The house itself is beautiful—exactly as shown in the photos, with stunning views, well-maintained gardens, a great pool, and very comfortable accommodations. The on-site staff were kind, attentive, and provided excellent food and service throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the overall experience was significantly impacted by communication and management issues. During our stay, we received a very high volume of messages from the owner and co-hosts across multiple channels (Airbnb, texts, and emails), many of which were required immediate responses. This created a constant sense of urgency and made it difficult to relax and enjoy what was meant to be a family holiday. There was also a strong sense of being closely monitored, including repeated messages about guest counts and use of the property, some of which we did not agree with. While we made every effort to comply with the house rules and resolve any concerns promptly, the frequency and tone of communication during their stay.

We had the best time at this home in Tepoztlán. The photos truly do not do the property justice, as it is even more beautiful in person. We especially loved the layout, with the two casitas and the main house, and how the kitchen and dining areas sit right next to the pool, which made everything feel easy and connected. The pool is also large and perfect for families. Francesca was incredibly welcoming and helpful with suggestions throughout our stay. Claudia also prepared amazing breakfasts and food for us, and we are still thinking about her desserts. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. A truly beautiful property.

I’m a teacher, and I tend to notice every detail — and everything about Casa Pomona was amazing. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and very well taken care of. Claudia was wonderful — so kind and attentive — and the breakfasts she prepared were absolutely fabulous. You can really feel the care that goes into everything here. I highly recommend Casa Pomona and will definitely be coming back.
