house is amazing. the view is priceless. the volcano is exactly in the middle of the window. the only thing that surprised us and wasn't disclosed is the physical difficulty to get to the house. steep stairs at least 35 of them without rail or good lighting at night that could be dangerous or impossible for the elderly or people with babies. all the rest was amazing.

Mau and her team were incredible! She was very responsive and answered every question. We absolutely loved the Gardener, Jose. He was very helpful and welcoming. Liz was also very caring and gave us a nice tour of the home. The location is perfect and everything is walkable. This place has incredible views and intentional decor. Mau helped us arrange transportation to the airport. We would definitely stay here again! Everything was perfect. Looking forward to next time!

CAUTION* if you are traveling with young children or senior citizens this might not be the best place for you. There are a lot of steep steps with no railing and it was incredibly hard to get up and down for the child and seniors on our vacation. We knew that there would be steps but didn’t consider how many or that there would be nothing to hold on to. If you have lots of luggage consider flagging a tuktuk and asking their rate to bring up your items. As far as transportation definitely go with Mau’s driver Domingo. He was great and knew the roads like the back of his hand so that made our arrival very smooth. Not sure another driver would have had the same success in arriving on time and safely.

What a beautiful stay and wonderful host! Mau’s property is one of a kind with gorgeous views of the volcano, nearby walkable restaurants, and peaceful grounds. I recommend if you have luggage to simply let Mau know for arrival and departure. She will arrange help to bring your luggage up the stairs to the property entrance (don’t worry, it’s not a far walk, but with heavy luggage, what isn’t!). I highly recommend you stay with Mau, you won’t regret it!

Mau’s place is definitely one of the most beautiful houses I have ever stayed in. The architecture and design allows you to take in the lake and volcan Atitlan at your leisure. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well equipped. We had time to enjoy the hammock in the beautiful garden and the gardener Jose was very kind and helpful. Mau has a great team to support your visit including a driver named Domingo who picked us up from the airport and drove us almost 5 hours to the airbnb. Mau’s sister Lisa was helpful with check in and we did book a private dinner through Mau at the airbnb for when we arrived after a long travel day. The meal was lovely and the chefs were amazing! Everything was taken care of so, if you have any doubts, please do yourself a favor and book this airbnb.

We loved staying at Mau's place! She gave us a house tour upon arrival and was an amazing host. She even helped us book a rental car to the hospital late at night, as one of our friends wasn't feeling well.

The photos of this home barely do it justice. We loved watching sunrises and sunsets nearly every day. Mau made our trip as easy as possible. Her sister met us at the local dock to ensure we found our way up the hill the home. For a small fee, she had two gentlemen meet us at the dock to assist getting our larger bags up to the home. She also arranged for us to have a home chef one evening for my wife's birthday. It was the best meal we had for our entire Guatemala vacation. We loved our stay!
