The Space
Casa Koyu is a newly built, standalone casita located in front of our home, Casa Nami. This private and independent studio offers an open, bright layout combining the kitchen, dining area, bedroom, and bathroom into one comfortable space. The sleeping arrangement can be adjusted to either two single beds or one king-size bed, all fitted with high-quality mattresses. The casita is equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, and a backup WiFi surge protector to support seamless online work.
The kitchen is fully stocked with brand new, quality appliances and all necessary cooking utensils. Outside, guests can enjoy a sitting area, an outdoor shower, a surfboard rack, and parking space. The property also includes access to a shared pool located with the host family and another guest room.
This cozy casita is ideal for surfers or couples and is just a two-minute walk from the world-class waves at Playa Colorado in Hacienda Iguana.

Important Notes
Our household includes myself, my two teenage sons, three relaxed Nicaraguan rescue dogs named Otto, Enso, and Isla, and our Canadian cat, Tora.
Electricity costs in Nicaragua are among the highest in Central America. We kindly ask guests to conserve energy by turning off lights, air conditioning, and fans when not in use. The rate includes air conditioning use at night, but daytime use should be limited to cooling off. This helps us maintain affordable pricing as a small family business.
For guests requiring 24-hour air conditioning or those working online, there is an additional charge of $15.00 per day.

We had a great stay. The studio is a very short walk from the beach, so the location was perfect. Everything was very clean, neat and exactly as shown in the pictures. The kitchen is equipped with the necessities, which made the experience even more convenient. The place is cozy and well maintained, an excellent choice for spending days relaxing near the beach. Miki, the host, was always very attentive to any questions and was very kind, which made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you are looking for a pleasant stay.

After traveling around Nicaragua, arriving at Miki's felt like coming home. The casita is cozy, beautiful, and peaceful, surrounded by nature. Miki is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we needed and was always happy to help. The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the main Colorado surf break! We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.

We spent 3 nights at Miki's. From the moment we booked, Miki was extremely helpful and gave us all the information we needed for check-in. She also arranged our transfer from Managua Airport. The apartment was as described in the listing, very clean and very functional. It is also conveniently located in the Hacienda Iguana complex, just 30 seconds from the beautiful Playa Colorado spot. Everything was perfect!! We had a lovely stay!!! Thank you for everything, Miki! We would definitely recommend your place!! See you soon, I hope!!!

The studio looks like in the pictures and the cleaning was neat. We liked it a lot because it’s only 2 minutes walk from the beach, you have access to a pool and Mikki was very helpful and friendly. On top of that you can feel that the place was well set up and nicely decorated for guests. Iguana is a beautiful beach, I absolutely recommend this place!

The guest house was everything we wanted! Miki was a truly amazing host—so helpful with rides, motorcycles, and recommendations; she was on top of everything. This place was great and a perfect spot to relax. We would happily come back again!

This spot is ideal, two minute walk to Colorados and pangas right up the way! Surf shop super close with great board selection. Miki helped me arranged transport from Managua and to my next spot. Felt safe here as a solo female traveler! 10/10 recommend.
