Casa Palapa is a 3-bedroom beachfront villa in Zihuatanejo with an infinity plunge pool, air-conditioned suites, and a rooftop terrace offering 360-degree views of Saladita Beach and its surf.
Casa Palapa
Casa Palapa is a charming traditional Mexican beachfront villa on Saladita Beach. The surf break is a five- to seven-minute walk along the beach, offering convenient access to the action while maintaining a private, secluded atmosphere.
The villa features three bedrooms, each with air conditioning, a king-size bed, and a private bathroom with a shower.
Enjoy views of surfers and sunsets from the infinity plunge pool or the third-floor rooftop terrace, which offers 360-degree panoramic views.
The Space
- Three air-conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms and showers:
- The Frida Room is on the ground floor near the back entrance and has step-free access.
- The Round Room is on the ground floor and includes an en suite bathroom and shower. Several steps are required to access it.
- The Upstairs Room is located on a private level up a set of stairs. A separate bathroom and shower are located on the same floor. The room also has a balcony overlooking the surf, furnished with a table and stools.
- Daily housekeeping is included.
- The infinity pool overlooks the surf and is shared with two other homes on the property. These homes are not rentals.
- Private meals are available for an additional cost.
- In-home massages can be arranged upon request. Payment is made locally at the time of service.
Rooftop Terrace
The third-floor level offers expansive views across Saladita, from the point to the mountains. It includes:
- Charging stations
- A long built-in couch
- A half bathroom
Internet
Starlink Wi-Fi is available. Service is generally suitable for standard streaming and regular internet use, although it depends on the satellite connection. Due to the concrete walls, the strongest signal is in the main family room. Zoom calls usually work but cannot be guaranteed.
Important Safety Information
Families with toddlers or small children who are not water-safe should consider another property. The infinity pool is directly off the family room and is level with the ground, with no barrier separating it from the living area.
The property is not enclosed by closed fences. Guests traveling with children who may leave supervised areas or who are not safe around pools and the ocean should take this into consideration. By booking, guests confirm that their children are water-safe.
Guest Access
Your booking includes private use of the three-story home, which has:
- Three bedrooms
- Five bathrooms
- Two large private deck areas in front of the home
- One parking space behind the home
The infinity pool is shared with two other homes on the property. These homes are not rentals: one is located at the back of the property above the garage, and the other is adjacent to Casa Palapa.
One small closet, or “bodega,” in the Frida Room is reserved for the owners and is not available to guests. It remains locked and contains extra supplies.
Additional Information
- There is no working oven. The kitchen includes a stovetop and microwave for cooking and heating food.

Beautiful place. In fact the photos don’t do it justice. We enjoyed our very relaxing stay. The restaurants were good. Kris was a wonderful host, always responsive and helpful. Rosio and Griselda were wonderful when they greeted us at the house and answered our questions, they were there daily and checked in with us and cleaned the house. We would definitely love to return for another stay.

This place was amazing! We’ll definitely be back. Our 7 and 4 year old boys spent hours playing in the sand and waves right out front and every afternoon in the pool. We had planned to eat out at the local restaurants more but the food we had prepared at the house by Griselda was so great that we ended up instead having her make dinner almost every night. So comfortable, we felt right at home.

This is one of the older houses on the beach but it is a perfect beachfront location with lots of shade and beautiful views. Some of the plumbing fixtures , window coverings and kitchen items could use a bit of upgrading for the price of the house but all else was great. We would rent here again! Gracias!!

A true gem! Very highly recommend. Casa Palapa was absolutely perfect for our group of four adults and one kid (2 years old). The layout of the house is amazing, with so many places to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The pool was such a hit with everyone, including the 2 year old who spent hours every day playing in the water. Easily walkable to the break and near a bunch of delicious beachfront restaurants. The daily housekeeping was a godsend and helped keep us comfortable throughout the weeklong stay. We had someone cook for us at the house for 3 of the 6 nights, and highly recommend! It was so nice to relax after a day of sun and sand in the beautiful house. The beds were comfortable, the towels were fluffy and clean, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the kiddie books left out for our daughter were a huge hit with her! We can't wait to return when our kid is old enough to learn to surf!!

This place really is as good as it gets. We brought our 18 month old son and grandpa for eight nights. This place is absolutely fantastic. The staff is amazing. Rocio was one of the best people we met on our entire trip. She cooked us dinner six out of eight nights and each night was fantastic. The staff on site was attentive and really nice to have every day. Just far enough away from the busyness and party atmosphere of Saladita but close enough that walking to surf every day isn’t a big deal. The house is really a magical piece of architecture. So many details and amazing construction. Half of my trip I was lost looking at The property. You really can’t beat this place. All of the furniture inside and out felt super clean which is amazing being so close to the ocean. We would highly recommend this place and if we ever return to Saladita, we will stay here. Again if you stay here use Rocio you will not be disappointed.
