Spending a few days at Casa Abuela Tree was a wonderful experience. Recommended especially for those looking for a quiet and authentic place, with organic architecture and a homely feel, surrounded by nature. Luz is an amazing and attentive host, she responds quickly and knows how to guide you with any request. And certainly a generous reader, who leaves her interesting library available to visitors. The cozy energy of the house is felt in many of its corners and details. Also in the care of the gardens, in charge of Jeremías - a respectful and sensitive boy - in the middle of which the amazing Grandmother Tree stands out. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. There's even a washing machine! And the best part: the heated pool and the possibility of enjoying a temazcal ("indigenous sauna") make the experience truly special. We leave grateful, satisfied and looking forward to returning.

This is a beautiful and enchanted oasis, tucked away in the mountains. It’s accessible by a 6 minute walk up a dirt path. Therefore, packing lightly with no roller suitcases is advised. The house is beyond beautiful and super clean! It’s in a fully gated location and super safe, with a friendly guard cat. Truly, this place is humming with good energy, a must stay if you're looking for a magical place in nature! Also, luz is very responsive and truly cares about her guests experience. 10/10 recommend!💕

Luz’s place completely exceeded our expectations. It’s an absolutely beautiful garden oasis that we did not want to leave. Perfect location walkable to restaurants and the waterfront, but feels completely private.

Amazing house! Gorgeous surroundings, sweet town, walkable to shops and great restaurants. Beds were super comfortable, plenty of room. Stunning house! Magical property! 2 things- a smidge confusing to find initially. The sign did indeed say the school but then you travel up the path past several homes to find the sanctuary. The 5 minute walk ( you can't get a tuk tuk up there) on a mostly unpaved with stepping stones path had several steps which was not ideal for carrying all my luggage ...but I carry too much anyway! It's kind of all part of the adventure- I had to earn it! At the bottom of that path is a paved road, and tuk tuks can drop you there but town is also right there. The stay was so beautiful! I'd 💯 stay again with way less luggage! (I had a giant rolling case, a medium duffel and a small backpack) I make the distinction about the path because I didn't understand til I saw it. If you are able bodied and pack less stuff, this is for you! Fantastic!

Beautiful plce to stay. I was a little confused at first as I didn't realise we were staying in someone's home, so was a little unsure what I could use etc. But Liz answered my questions promptly and it ended up being a lovely peaceful rest. Certainly recommend if you want a retreat style stay. Big houe and well equipped, just know it is lived in when not used as an airbnb! Lovely space, my dream home actually!
