About Montecristo
Montecristo is an exclusive gated community in Los Cabos, perched on a dramatic mountainside with sweeping ocean views overlooking Quivira’s Jack Nicklaus Signature course. The community is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained, offering privacy, a refined clubhouse, and a peaceful Pacific setting at the tip of the Baja Peninsula.
The Space
Montecristo Villas are designed for a luxurious and comfortable stay. Each villa includes:
- Private infinity pool
- Indoor and outdoor jacuzzis
- Spacious terraces
- Central family room
- Reading areas
- Walk-in closets
All villas share the same layout, amenities, private pool, and private jacuzzi. Views and locations vary slightly, and a specific villa, view, or location cannot be guaranteed. Villas are managed in both Phase I and Phase II.
Important Booking Information
Pricing is based on the number of guests. Please reserve the villa using the correct guest count.
- Additional guests added before arrival are charged at the standard rate.
- Please update the reservation at least a couple of days before check-in if your group size changes.
- Additional guests who arrive beyond the number listed on the reservation will incur a fee of $50 USD per person per night.
- If additional guests are reported during or after check-in, the fee increases to $100 USD per person per night.
- All guests must be registered, and all applicable guest fees must be paid.
Housekeeping is not included but may be added for $100 USD per day.
Please review the house rules carefully. The Montecristo community maintains strict regulations to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Pantry items are not provided, including:
- Salt and pepper
- Condiments
- Cooking oils
- Aluminum foil
- Plastic wrap
- Coffee
- Sugar
Guests also have access to Pueblo Bonito Resorts, which offer excellent service standards and amenities.
Environmental Sanitation Tax
The Government of Los Cabos has implemented an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local environmental and community infrastructure. Reservations made from September 8, 2022 onward are subject to this tax.

The following discounts are available during your stay:

Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, certificates, or coupons.
Outside Services
Outside services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos community. This includes:
- Private chefs
- Catering services
- Grocery shopping services
- Maid services
- Similar third-party services
Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are permitted.
Villa Assignment
The villa assignment is confirmed only at check-in and cannot be confirmed or guaranteed beforehand. As a multi-unit vacation rental property, villas are assigned according to reservation departures and arrivals.
Early Check-In
Upon arrival, guests may go directly to the clubhouse reception desk. Early check-in cannot be confirmed in advance, regardless of the circumstances.
The villa is guaranteed to be ready at 4:00 p.m. If it is ready earlier on the day of arrival, guests will be welcome to enter. While waiting, guests may use the clubhouse facilities. The team can also store luggage and groceries until the villa is ready.
Rental Experience
This is a vacation rental experience, which differs from a timeshare or a hotel rental booked directly through the resorts.
Several amenities included with resort bookings are not included with vacation rentals. The amenities provided with this rental are consistent with those commonly offered in the vacation rental industry and with Airbnb’s recommendations for essential amenities.

We were the victims of a home robbery during our stay at the Villa. We were in the upstairs portion of the home and they came in from the lower level and stole Phones, Wallets, Bags, Clothes, Sunglasses, etc. we filed a report with security at the resort and they basically did nothing. We contacted the Host and they did nothing to support us or follow up. We paid to extended our stay two days to see if we could retrieve our things by working with security staff but to no avail. We’ve rented in this community many times before and never had an issue during our stays. The Villa is slightly outdated and could use a facelift. That said, it’s in a beautiful location and the host did a good job describing the home. In the end, we left without retrieving our stolen items. Scary part is they came in while we were in the home. It’s was most certainly a staff member….So be warned you cannot leave your sliding doors open in a tropical gated environment even when your home! Scary!

My family of 4, wife, 2 15 yr olds, ventured here on a friend's recommendation. Takes a while to get here from where we live, so when we arrived, tired and at the end of a long day, and saw the place, we decided to add 2 more days. The villas are all very spacious, and the room to move around is large. The views are serene and dramatic of the Sea of Cortez. The shuttle service, vans going up and down the roads to the villas day and night, is prompt and easy to use. The infinity pool, as others have noted, is relaxing and offers dramatic views. The restaurants and vibe at the Market at Quivira is lively, and nice. Good selection of many types of food and treats there. It is crowded, but we never felt overwhelmed or burdened by this. The steak house at the golf course is great food, top notch service. As for the main clubhouse where you check in, there is a nice restaurant there with amenable hosts. This is a worthwhile trip for your family.

What a great villa! Spectacular views for the private infinity pool! This place was incredible and tucked away on a huge piece of property. The bedrooms are very large and plenty of closet space. We used the kitchen ,which had everything you need . Quivira golf course, on site, is one of the top courses in Mexico. Definitely worth playing plus a members discount for staying on the property. Saul was a great host as well. We had a small communication error on his availability but outside of that, he was a pleasure to work with and I'd definitely stay there again!

We always enjoy Quivira and Montecristo. As others have stated the villas could use some refurbishing but are still very clean and worth the price. You can’t beat a private infinity pool overlooking the ocean.

Beautiful property and ability to use all the pueblo bonito facilities and pools (loved skypool) was a bonus. Checkin process is a little cumbersome and they called us the day before we were supposed to check out claiming it was our last day (I had to send screenshot proof that it wasnt). Beds were comfortable and enough amenities in kitchen that we could make a few meals. Definitely have to buy everything though (even laundry detergent). House pool was great, but wish there were pool lights. Felt very safe and overall service was excellent. Nice to be 15 minutes from marina... but having a rentalcar was key. Would definitely recommend Montecristo!

Very beautiful villa. Amazing views from the terrace and the pool. Very comfortable inside as well. Service was slightly subpar-only got our place cleaned once during our 4 night stay. Also, the ac started to leak and it took a full day for it to get fixed. Otherwise, transportation and everything was very convenient.

The property is already deteriorated in some areas, we struggle a lot with the heating of the pool and the jacuzzi.
