Montecristo is a private gated community situated in Los Cabos, Mexico. Perched on a mountainside, it offers breathtaking ocean views overlooking the entire Quivira Los Cabos area, which features an exclusive Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The community is meticulously landscaped and maintained, providing access to a beautiful clubhouse. Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, this peaceful enclave offers both privacy and luxury.

The Space

Montecristo Villas are designed to meet your needs, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay in this exceptional setting. Each villa serves as a home away from home, equipped with luxurious amenities such as:

• Private infinity pool
• Indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi
• Spacious terraces
• Central family room
• Reading areas
• Walk-in closets

Please note that our listings are not tied to a specific villa; however, all villas share the same layouts and amenities. Each villa includes a private pool and Jacuzzi on the terrace. Views vary between villas, and while we cannot guarantee the exact view shown in photos, it will be similar.

Villa locations are assigned at check-in based on arrivals and departures, and we do not accept location requests. Villas are managed across both Phase I and Phase II of Montecristo.

Booking and Guest Policies

• Prices depend on the number of guests. Please book for the exact number of guests staying.
• Additional guests added after booking will incur an extra fee.
• If extra guests are reported during or after check-in, the fee doubles.
• To avoid increased charges, add any additional guests at least a few days before arrival.
• All guests must be registered, and applicable fees paid.
• Extra guest fees:
  • $50 USD per night per person if added before arrival
  • $100 USD per night per person if added during or after check-in

Housekeeping and Supplies

• Housekeeping is not included but can be added for $80 USD per day.
• The villas do not provide salt, pepper, condiments, oils, foil, plastic wrap, coffee, sugar, or similar items.
• Please review the house rules carefully, as the Montecristo Community enforces strict regulations.

Environmental Sanitation Tax

The municipality of Los Cabos has implemented an Environmental Sanitation Tax to support local community improvements. This tax applies to all reservations made from September 8, 2022, onward.

• Fee: 33.68 Mexican Pesos per room per night (approximately $1.70 USD, depending on exchange rate)
• Charged at check-out in addition to rent
• Funds support environmental infrastructure, sustainability, safety, and security projects

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

Quivira Vacation Rentals follows rigorous health and safety measures based on global hotel consulting recommendations to ensure guest and staff safety:

Cleanliness and Sanitization

• Hand sanitizing stations throughout public areas including front desk and restaurant entrances
• Certified sanitization products used on high-touch surfaces
• Periodic deep cleaning by certified third parties before reopening and regularly thereafter

Arrival Procedures

• External suitcase sanitization via steam or sanitizing products
• Guest sanitization cabins and temperature checks with infrared thermometers
• Guests with temperatures above 38°C (100.4°F) will be evaluated by a doctor and may be denied access
• Mobile pre-check-in available

In-Room Amenities

• Hand sanitizer and sanitizing spray provided
• Masks and gloves available upon request
• Paper amenities, pens, and magazines removed but available on request

Social Distancing and Hygiene

• Elevator capacity limited to two persons unless family members
• Public furniture arranged to maintain at least 1.8 meters (6 feet) distance

Pool, Spa, and Fitness

• Pool loungers grouped in twos or fours, spaced 1.8 meters apart
• Fitness and spa equipment sanitized after each use
• Reduced capacity limits in fitness centers and spas

Food and Beverage

• Restaurant and bar seating arranged for 1.8 meters distancing with capacity limits
• Social distancing reminders on tables
• Staff wear masks
• Contactless room service offered
• Menus available digitally; physical menus removed

Golf Club

• Golf carts and balls sanitized before and after use
• Reception and practice areas have capacity limits
• Tee times spaced 15 minutes apart
• One golf cart per player unless family members request otherwise
• New rules to minimize touchpoints during play (e.g., flagsticks remain in holes, bunker rakes removed)

COVID-19 Response

• On-site detection team including physician, general manager, operations manager, and head of security coordinates with health authorities
• Protocols established for potential COVID-19 cases
• 24/7 medical service available

Destination Protocols

• Enhanced procedures at SJD International Airport including thermal cameras and travel background checks
• Certification program by Ministry of Health covering restaurants, hotels, water sports, and tours
• Ongoing monitoring and updates to safety guidelines

Note: Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, certificates, or coupons.

Restrictions on Outside Services

Outside services are not permitted within the Quivira Los Cabos Community. This includes private chefs, catering, grocery shopping, and maid services. Only services provided by Pueblo Bonito Resorts are allowed.

Check-In Information

• Villa assignments are confirmed only at check-in due to the multi-unit nature of the property and scheduling of arrivals and departures.
• Early check-in cannot be guaranteed and is subject to villa availability.
• Check-in time is 4:00 p.m., but if the villa is ready earlier, guests will be notified.
• Guests are welcome to use clubhouse facilities while waiting.
• Luggage and groceries can be stored by staff until the villa is ready.

Experience

This property operates as a vacation rental, which differs from timeshare or hotel bookings through the resorts. Some amenities included at the resorts may not be available with vacation rentals. The amenities provided align with industry standards and recommendations for vacation rentals.
