Villa Tiquicia

What a relaxing and wonderful time we had at Villa Tiquicia! Jeff was out of the country during our stay, but he still made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with wonderful recommendations for activities and restaurants. Oscar was absolutely amazing and quickly felt like family. He has the most incredible stories and shared so much knowledge about Costa Rican culture and life. We learned so much from him! He connected so easily with my three sons, whether they were talking about different genres of music, video games, or food. It truly felt like we were spending our vacation with another family member. Oscar went above and beyond to make our stay special, and his beautiful spirit made our experience even more memorable. Thank you, Jeff, for being such a wonderful host and for sharing your lovely home with us. And a very special thank you to Oscar for your kindness, your stories, your guidance, and for making us feel so welcome.

We’ve struggled with what to write because nothing can justly communicate the incredible memories and the unique experiences created on this trip. First and foremost, Oscar was a wonderful host-gracious, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and kind. We didn’t count on learning so much about Costa Rican culture and history and are so thankful that we did.! The stories Oscar told and the history he relayed to us during our car rides made the experience of being in another country that much more complete. He stopped at a local fruit stand for rambutans for my daughter and helped find local fishing spots for my son. We loved that he brought us to a less crowded beach, where we enjoyed a surf lesson and playing in the waves. Oscar, you definitely are 10/10 with our family! Thank you so much for everything! Lastly, the house is beautiful! We enjoyed the pool and there is wildlife everywhere, iguanas, frogs, geckos, toucans and monkeys. Waking up to titi monkeys on your porch is priceless!

This is the place to stay in Quepos!! Jeff is super responsive and helped us with tours and restaurant recommendations. The house is even better in person! It is the perfect location for visiting the area. Our driver, Oscar, was awesome! We now have a friend for life in Costa Rica. Do not delay...pick this place for your next stay in Quepos! My family and I have visited over 30 countries and stayed in numerous AirBnbs all over the world. Jeff's place is hands down the best airbnb we have ever stayed in. Do not delay....pick this place if you plan to visit Quepos!

BOOK THE VACATION! I will forever be comparing every vacation to our stay in quepos with Oscar. Jeff was unavailable during our stay but we absolutely adore Oscar. Jeff was always available to help with change in plans with excursions but Oscar was with us during our 10 day stay. We consider Oscar our friend now and will remain in contact with him for hopefully many years to come. We loved the house and all of the wildlife. BOOK THE TOUR WITH BEATRIZ BOTH DAY AND NIGHT. She is incredible and we learned so much. The ATV was a highlight of our trip (me, husband and three sons ages 15,14 and 9). The horse bike riding was great. We also loved the river rafting. We also loved zip lining. Visit all of the beaches. We loved playing in the waves and also snorkeling. Our best foods were the authentic meals during the excursions. Best dinner was definitely Ronny’s place. Just book the trip. You won’t regret it. We enjoyed it so much, we want to return next summer. 🥰

Even before we arrived, Jeff helped to recommend, plan, schedule, & reserve all tours for us.He even included a list of local restaurants. As we made our selections, he created a daily itinerary for us on a Google Doc.He was friendly, extremely helpful, & offered great suggestions for local tours and restaurants. The house included a guide that picked us up & dropped us off wherever we wanted to go while we were there including to and from the airport that was 3 hours away.Jeff was out of the country, so he asked Oscar to be our guide. In addition to driving us everywhere, Oscar was our guide.He had a wealth of knowledge about music, history, and the plants and animals of Costa Rica.He was incredibly warm & friendly & we all felt really comfortable with & genuinely liked him.The house is located right in the rain forest. It looks beautiful in the pictures, but we all agreed that it is more beautiful in person & you can drink coffee & watch tropical birds right on the balcony.

The house was amazing, and it exceeded our expectations. Jeff was great at making sure all of our questions were answered and that our experience was a positive one from beginning to end. Óscar was a great addition to the trip, and we enjoyed his company on the car rides and his knowledge and enthusiasm regarding many aspects of Costa Rica and its history. I highly recommend this location, especially if you love experiencing birds and wildlife in a beautiful setting.

Villa Tiquicia was larger than expected and was well appointed with everything you could need. The home is in a safe area with tremendous views. Jeff coordinated activities prior to our arrival (thanks Jeff!) and even arranged for “Oscar” to be our chauffeur/concierge for us as Jeff happened to be away during our stay. We cannot express how fortunate we feel to have had Oscar with us for the week of our stay! Oscar made traveling with our young daughters so stress free and safe; he is so fun to be around, kind, patient and we learned SO MUCH from him about Costa Rica. Oscar went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. Villa Tiquicia and Costa Rica are wonderful but our vacation was made AMAZING by Oscar for sure, it was like visiting your cousin at a new place and they know all the cool local spots to take you, the good food to eat and interesting things to take in while you are there. Oscar, thank you for taking such good care of my family! Jeff, thank you for hosting!

We had the most amazing stay at Villa Tiquicia. Our experience was unforgettable! Jeff’s engaging personality kept us feeling right at home and every recommendation was spot on. He made reservations for our group, helped order takeout pizza, brought us to the most beautiful beach, and showed us the best shops. His perfect Spanish made everything flow with ease. It was so nice being able to relax and not drive. We saw just as much wildlife sitting on the balcony drinking coffee as we did during our tour of Manuel Antonio National Park- however don’t miss out on his recommendation of Beatrice to guide you through the park. Clean, spacious and cozy. Perfect way to finish our first (but definitely not last) trip

I can't imagine a better way to vacation in Costa Rica than this. I simply can't understate the value of having a built-in event planner, translator, guide, facilitator, and driver in Jeff. The word "concierge" simply isn't comprehensive enough. Not only is he an absolutely stellar person, but he effortlessly meshed with my family to enhance our experience. He taught us about the culture, environment, wildlife, and more. I would have paid way more knowing now what value we got from Jeff's partnership on our journey. The adventures that he arranged for us were high-end and affordable. The nighttime jungle tour with Beatriz is a must, who knew porcupines are bioluminescent w/ a UV flashlight! The home is a is spacious, comfortable, well stocked, clean and visited consistently by ALL kinds of wildlife. Squirrel Monkeys, macaws, toucans, sloths, and many more. The pool is the icing on the cake. Don't hesitate, book it. We will miss Jeff and Costa Rica. Pura Vida my friends.

Usually, i'm terrible about taking the time to leave a review, but I have to in this case! Jeffrey was such a wonderful host and his house is perfect! I don't know what our family would have done without him - certainly our experience in Manuel Antonio would have not been so easy and streamlined. Having him to set up our fun experiences and get us around made everything so easy! He is a local who everyone loves. We could feel that wherever we went. We were able to go to a little boutique hotel's beach b/c he has connections there and he even asked one of his friends (female) at the mangrove experience (sweet family run business) about a nail place for my daughter and I! Ha! Was not on our plan but we carved out time for that b/c Jeffrey made it so easy. He is fun and genuine and has great stories - we loved having him join us for a few dinners and made our ride to the airport even entertaining! The house, the pool, all of it - perfect! Definitely recommend!
