Electricity and Air Conditioning Policy

Due to the high costs of electricity and air conditioning maintenance in Nicaragua, guests are allowed a generous daily electricity quota of 90 kWh. This amount is ample if usage is reasonable and air conditioning units are not left running continuously.

Solar power supports all lighting, fans, and the pool, so these do not count toward the air conditioning quota. Please be mindful of your electricity use throughout the day, especially with lights, to avoid power outages at night and the need for battery backup.

The guest and property manager will record initial and final meter readings. Electricity consumption will be compared against the quota, and any usage exceeding the limit will be charged at $3 USD per kWh.

Guidelines to Avoid Overuse

• Do not run air conditioning when rooms are unoccupied
• Turn off lights and fans in empty rooms or areas

The house manager will monitor and inform guests daily about electricity usage to help prevent exceeding the quota.

• Any extra guests must be approved in advance
• The skate park is exclusively for registered guests
• Smoking is not permitted on the property
• No parties allowed
• Please keep noise levels down after 10 p.m. to respect neighbors
