Located in Sunzal, the property is less than 10 minutes from El Tunco and El Zonte. It provides a convenient base for surf teams, large families, or anyone looking to unwind with plenty of space, beautiful views, and a fresh perspective.

The property overlooks the world-famous El Sunzal point break, known for its long, right-hand waves that attract surfers of all levels.

Tropical Wildlife

One of the charms of Tortuga Oceanview is its lush garden setting. You may see geckos, ants, and even Freddy, the friendly local iguana who sometimes scurries across the rooftop.

The property is not heavily treated with pesticides or fumigated, so local wildlife is part of the natural surroundings. Please keep food sealed and trash contained to help minimize unwanted visitors.

Power and Weather Notice

Power outages can occasionally occur in this beach area as the infrastructure continues to grow. These outages are community-wide and are not specific to the property.

A nearby Starbucks may have solar power and Wi-Fi during outages, but availability is not guaranteed.

As with all coastal properties in El Salvador, storm-related outages can also occur. Weather-related interruptions are typically resolved quickly.

Airbnb’s trip protection insurance is recommended in case of severe weather or travel delays.

Guest Access

Tortuga Oceanview is reserved for one group at a time, providing full, private access to the entire property. There are no shared spaces or interruptions.

Guests have exclusive use of:

• The multi-level home and private suites
• The renovated pool and surrounding lounge areas
• Ocean-view dining and gathering spaces
• Outdoor shower, patios, and gardens

Whether you are traveling with a surf team, a large family, or a group of close friends, the entire space is yours to enjoy comfortably and privately.

Septic System and Bathroom Guidelines

The home uses an eco-conscious septic system that naturally filters wastewater without harsh chemicals. To help the system operate properly:

• Do not flush toilet paper.
• Use the lidded bins provided in each bathroom.
• Extra trash bags are available for your convenience.

Although the plumbing can handle small amounts of paper, the system functions best when no paper is flushed.

For added comfort, you may schedule a mid-stay cleaning. The housekeeper can:

• Empty bathroom bins
• Refresh supplies
• Perform a quick system check

Water Filtration

Both kitchens are equipped with high-output reverse osmosis and carbon filtration systems that provide ultra-pure, great-tasting drinking water. The systems remove contaminants and are designed to deliver exceptional water quality.

Filters are changed regularly to maintain peak performance. Tap water is safe for brushing teeth, but filtered water is recommended for drinking.
