The space Casa Kennedy is the original home on West Bay Beach — built in the United States in 1993 and reassembled on Roatán by my father, a surgeon and U.S. Navy veteran. It's a private family residence, not a resort, and that's exactly what makes it special. Guests who love Casa Kennedy come for something the hotels can't offer: your own beachfront home with a dedicated staff, a palm garden, and the reef a 1-minute swim away.

Our location is the best on the beach — tucked between the Argentinian Grille and Henry Morgan's Resort in the Emerald Beach neighborhood. Dive centers within 100 yards. West Bay Mall is a 5-minute walk. The quietest stretch of sand on West Bay, right next to the best restaurants.

THE HOME 2 floors connected by an outdoor staircase. Both floors included in your booking. Upstairs — Master bedroom (1 queen), guest room (1 full + 1 twin), guest room (2 twins), living room, veranda with dining table for 6 and 2 hammocks. Downstairs — Master bedroom (1 queen) with private bath, living room with sleeper sofa, ground-level beach access.

Max capacity: 8 adults. Case-by-case flexibility for families with children.

AMENITIES 75+ Mbps fiber optic WiFi — reliable for Zoom and remote work. A/C in all bedrooms and the upstairs living room. Fridges on both levels. Complimentary filtered water (hot, cold, room temp). A FEW THINGS TO KNOW Casa Kennedy is a private home with character and history, not a new-build resort. We take pride in it, and guests who appreciate that distinction tend to have the best stays.

Roatán is part of a marine bioreserve — no plastics or excessive paper in the plumbing. This applies island-wide and protects the reef you'll be swimming over. Please conserve A/C and electricity when not in use. Island power is expensive, and responsible use helps us keep rates accessible.

My goal is to keep West Bay accessible — not just for resort guests, but for divers, veterans, retirees, teachers, and families who want longer, more relaxed stays on one of the world's best beaches. Guest access The entire house, garden, private beach area, and roped-off ocean zone are yours to enjoy. The roped-off area in the water in front of the home is for the homeowner's association.

Filtered water cooler with hot, cold, and room temperature settings: complimentary throughout your stay. Fridges on both levels.

We ask that guests turn off A/C when not in use: electricity on the island is exceptionally expensive, and conservation helps us keep rates accessible.

Washer/dryer included for 1-2 washes per weekly stay. While it says free, it does not indicate unlimited usage. Please note that the electricity costs range in the thousands of dollars per month.

Service members (military, police, fire, health), medical professionals, educators, students, and differently abled guests: reach out for special discounts regardless of country of origin.

NOTE: AirBnb changed their fee structure in the summer of 2026.

Now, hosts absorb the AirBnb fee in the per diem cost, meaning what you see as a nightly price includes both our revenue and AirBnb's fee or cut. Other hosts will market post-booking fees. We do NOT do that. But we have had to raise our VISIBLE price when in fact our cost to booking has DECREASED relative to what we were previously charging in order to maintain our booking rate.
