Overview
Our goal is to offer an adults-only, peaceful, and distinctive Caribbean-Mexican experience. Isla Retreats features six private apartments where guests can escape the bustle of downtown and everyday life while enjoying the island’s relaxed atmosphere.
The property includes:
- A heated saltwater pool with waterfalls
- Poolside lounge chairs and umbrellas
- Tropical gardens
- An elegant palapa
Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte.
The Space
Isla Retreats has six private villas, each accommodating two guests. Every villa is upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with the essentials for a comfortable stay.
All villas include:
- Flat-screen television
- Cable television
- iPod docking station
- High-speed Wi-Fi
- Beach and bath towels
- High-quality linens
- Hair dryer
- Iron and ironing board
- In-room safe for valuables and passports
Maid service is available daily or upon request at no additional charge. On-site staff can also assist with arranging golf cart rentals and other activities.
Villa 2
Villa 2 is a one-bedroom unit with a hotel-room-style layout. It includes:
- King-size bed
- Full private bathroom
- Small refrigerator
- Microwave
- Coffeemaker
Located on the ground floor, Villa 2 is just steps from the pool.
Villa 2 may be rented together with Villa 1 to create a two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa. When rented separately, the villas are separated by double doors that remain locked for security and privacy.
Pool and Outdoor Areas
The saltwater pool is reserved exclusively for guests staying at Isla Retreats. To preserve the property’s quiet, safe, and private atmosphere, visitors who are not staying at Isla Retreats may not use the pool.
Relax beside the pool or beneath the palapa while enjoying the sound of the waterfall. The pool and palapa area are ideal for morning coffee and fresh orange juice, evening cocktails, or refreshments at any time of day.
Guest Access
There are six separate villas at Isla Retreats, as well as the neighboring house, Casa de Katy. Guests staying in any of these properties have full access to the following shared areas:
- Saltwater pool
- Palapa
- Barbecue area
- Gardens
Each property has its own entrance.

Villa 1
Villa 1 is a ground-floor, one-bedroom unit with:

- Toaster
Additional features include air conditioning in every room, modern stainless-steel appliances, marble countertops, marble floors, and cable television.
The nightly rate for two guests is $185 USD plus tax.
Villa 1 may be rented individually or together with Villa 2 as a two-bedroom unit.
Villa 2
Villa 2 includes:
- One bedroom
- King-size bed
- Full bathroom
- Small refrigerator
- Microwave
- Coffeemaker
A lockout door connects Villa 2 to Villa 1.
Villa 3
Villa 3 is a mirror image of Villa 1. It may be rented individually or together with Villa 4 as a two-bedroom unit.
Villa 4
Villa 4 is a mirror image of Villa 2. It may be rented individually or together with Villa 3 as a two-bedroom unit.
Villa 5
Villa 5 is located on the second floor at the rear of the complex, overlooking Salina Chica. It includes:
- King-size bed
- Kitchen
- Refrigerator
- Two-burner cooktop
- Oven
- Microwave
- Coffeemaker
- Toaster
- Balcony overlooking Salina Chica
The balcony is a pleasant spot for watching birds and enjoying beautiful sunsets. Villa 5 also features a private rooftop patio with panoramic island views.
Villa 6
Villa 6 is located on the second floor and includes:
- King-size bed
- Full kitchen
- Full-size refrigerator
- Four-burner cooktop and oven
- Microwave
- Blender
- Coffeemaker
- Toaster
The villa overlooks the grounds and pool and has two private patios, one on each side of the unit.

We loved our stay at Isla Retreats! Clean and cozy room with a lovely pool and courtyard. Staff was so nice and we absolutely loved the cats that live at the property! Location was solid. There’s a bodega across the street and a few restaurants to choose from. Only downfall is most of the restaurants don’t serve breakfast so you do need to venture away from the area for breakfast.

Very welcoming staff, a true haven of peace offering an excellent balance between conviviality and privacy. It feels like home. Conveniently located, this is a perfect base from which to discover the island in all its authenticity. Even more beautiful than in the photos, the host had thought of everything to ensure our comfort, and the place is impeccably clean.

We loved our stay at the Isla Retreats. Our villa was impeccably clean and organized. There’s a beautiful pool on the property and plenty of local restaurants to enjoy just steps away. Katy was onsite and attentive to her guests. We enjoyed soaking in her knowledge of the island. Our trip was not long enough, we look forward to visiting again soon.

Our stay was so beautiful and we overly enjoyed our Villa. The place it self feels super secluded and such a relaxing atmosphere, yet so close . 5 min drive or 15 min walk to the center. Katy makes sure you are welcomed with such a clean place and it feels like an outdoor jungle when you step out of your room with all the plants. We came on a couples trip and are definitely coming back with the family. We even enjoyed the playful outdoor cats!! Thank you Katy for your hospitality!! Your place was phenomenal! We will be back!

We couldn’t have asked for better! Isla Retreats was a peaceful escape, and we hope to return. The room and pool were immaculate! Katy thought of everything, including a lighted spot to put your bag while you unlock your room. Katy was responsive and arranged our golf cart to be there on arrival. When we extended our stay, she arranged the room, golf cart extension, and taxi to the ferry. Our favorite tacos on the island were at the taqueria right across the street, and there’s a market for snacks and ice. It’s the perfect place!

Our first time to Isla and we found an absolutely beautiful Oasis at Casa de Katy's 'Isla Retreats'. The location is perfectly centered on the island, walkable to incredible restaurants and panoramic views, yet secluded to offer great privacy. The property is immaculate! The service and cleanliness pristine! The landscaping enchanting! Katy and her beautiful family are delightful souls; we are so grateful to have been welcomed in....and genuinely cannot wait to visit Isla again and stay at Isla Retreats! Unequivocal Excellence in All Facets!!!
