The Space

Located in Vistas del Pacifico in the relaxed beach town of Playa Panamá, Villa las Brisas is just 25 minutes from Liberia International Airport. With four bedrooms, an outdoor rancho, and a private infinity-edge pool overlooking Culebra Bay, the villa offers everything needed for a memorable vacation.

For more than 25 years, Villa las Brisas has welcomed families and groups from around the world. The property was designed and built by the late Phil Bonner, a Ford Motor Co. Hall of Fame drag racer who later became a renowned international home builder. The villa has remained in his family ever since.

Each evening, the villa offers breathtaking sunset views across Culebra Bay and the Gulf of Papagayo.

The villa was constructed in the late 1990s and has some mild, expected wear and tear. A few kitchen and upstairs-suite cabinets do not close completely, although these are primarily cosmetic issues and should have little to no impact on your stay. Some furnishings are older but remain fully functional. The photos on this page show the villa as it appears in 2026.

Guest Access

Villa las Brisas is completely private and fully available for your use. Guests may also use the community pool and tennis court located at the bottom of Vistas del Pacifico at no additional cost.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping is a common service in Costa Rica. Our beloved housekeeper, Yoco, is typically on-site nearly every morning except Sunday, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

• If you check in on a Sunday, Yoco will not be there on Monday unless you are staying for only one night.
• She lets herself in and respects your privacy.
• Yoco has been with our family for more than 25 years, and we consider her part of the family.
• She can prepare breakfast and brunch snacks, including guacamole, fruit dishes, and gallo pinto, provided that ingredients are supplied.
• She handles cleaning and can wash, dry, and fold clothing at your discretion.
• The typical tip is $20 or more per day.
• Her schedule may change without notice.
• If you do not want housekeeping service or would prefer service only on certain days, please specify this when making your reservation.

Yoco will be at the villa on the morning of your departure to begin cleaning. You may continue enjoying the villa until the 11:00 a.m. checkout time.

Gardening and Pool Maintenance

Our gardener, Brayan, visits every weekday, typically from late morning through early afternoon, to clean the pool and care for the gardens.

Climate and Seasons

Costa Rica is considered by many to be one of the world’s leading ecotourism destinations. Regardless of when you visit, daytime temperatures are generally in the upper 80s to lower 90s Fahrenheit, with nighttime temperatures in the mid-70s Fahrenheit.

• Green, or rainy, season: May through November
• Dry season: December through April

The rainy season should not discourage you from visiting Costa Rica. Guanacaste is more arid than the southern regions of the country, and rainfall is typically limited to a brief shower in the morning or afternoon.

Location and Natural Environment

Villa las Brisas is located on Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast in the northwest corner of the country, within the province of Guanacaste. The area has a dry tropical forest climate, so guests should expect to encounter a variety of unique animals and other wildlife during their stay.
