Spectacular 400 Year Old Colonial

The Space

Spectacular 400 Year Old Colonial is a beautifully restored home decorated with objects collected from around the world. The property has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and comfortably accommodates six guests. It offers spacious areas for gathering as well as intimate spaces for relaxing privately.

Please note that the property contains numerous stairs, irregular steps, and changes in floor level. It is not suitable for guests with mobility issues or concerns about tripping or falling.

Located on one of the best streets in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, the home is just 1.5 blocks from the Jardín, the city’s main square.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

• The principal bedroom is on the main level, just off the library. It features a king-size bed and a fireplace.
• The en-suite principal bathroom has double sinks and a separate bathtub and shower.
• There are stairs and changes in floor level within the principal suite, between the bedroom, dressing area, and en-suite bathroom.
• The two guest bedrooms and guest bathroom are on the second floor.
• One guest bedroom has a queen-size bed and a charming balcony overlooking the front patio.
• The other guest bedroom has two twin beds, a desk, a balcony, and a private, tree-lined terrace with two lounge chairs.
• The guest bathroom includes double sinks, a large bathtub and shower combination, a toilet, and a bidet.
• A third bathroom is located just off the morning room, near the pool, and includes a shower.

Pool and Outdoor Spaces

The heated pool is situated in a private, sunny patio just a few steps from the outdoor kitchen and dining area. This setting is ideal for outdoor entertaining throughout the year.

The roof terrace offers comfortable seating and spectacular views of San Miguel and the surrounding mountains.

Staff and Meals

The house is staffed by a maid six days a week and a part-time pool and garden attendant. The maid can prepare either breakfast or lunch each day.

Groceries are not included. The maid can shop for the ingredients needed for each meal, and guests will be reimbursed upon presentation of receipts.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire house, except for staff and storage areas.

Additional Information

Pool Heating

• The pool can be heated to 85°F for $30 USD per day.
• Heating may be arranged for the entire stay or selected days.
• Please request pool heating in advance if you would like it ready upon arrival.

Pets

One small dog is permitted for an additional fee of $25 USD per day. Guests are fully responsible for any damage caused by their pet.

Check-In and Check-Out

• Check-in: 3:00–5:30 p.m.
• Luggage may be left in the entryway after noon.
• Check-out: 9:00 a.m.–noon
• Luggage may be left in the entryway from noon to 3:00 p.m.
• Late check-ins or early check-outs may be arranged for an additional $20 USD fee.

Additional Services and Fees

• For $35 USD, staff can pre-stock the kitchen with drinks, snacks, and other requested items.
• The house is stocked with firewood. Used firewood is billed at $25 USD at the end of the stay.
• Additional firewood can be delivered for $25 USD per load.
• A portable playpen and crib combination is available for $35 USD for the entire stay. Please request it in advance.
• Tipping the house staff 5% of the rental amount is customary but not mandatory.
• Local government regulations require a 4% tax on all hospitality rentals. This tax is included in the listing price.
