Welcome to El Pescadero
El Pescadero is a secluded destination in Baja California Sur, Mexico, nestled between Pacific surf breaks, expansive cactus fields, and dusty trails leading to the Sierra La Laguna mountain range. Although the town is easy to reach, it retains a peaceful, remote atmosphere.
The Space
Casa de Zorros is conveniently located just off the main road, a five-minute drive from the beach, and within a short walk of several excellent restaurants and wellness spaces. The property is surrounded by tranquil farmland and offers beautiful views in every direction.

Located at the rear of the property, Casa Palapa is a fully independent one-bedroom house with ultra-high palapa-style ceilings. It includes:

Location and Nearby Attractions
Whether you are looking for adventure or a relaxing beach escape, El Pescadero offers both. The property is located approximately midway between San José del Cabo and La Paz and is within easy reach of many of the area’s attractions:
- San Pedrito world-class surf break: 22-minute walk
- Los Cerritos Beach: 10-minute drive
- Downtown Todos Santos, with shops, restaurants, and cafés: 12-minute drive
For longer day trips:
- La Paz is approximately one hour away, offering kayaking in the Sea of Cortez and whale shark encounters.
- La Ventana is approximately 90 minutes away and is known for its excellent kite-surfing conditions.
Casa de Zorros is approximately a one-hour scenic drive north of Los Cabos Airport (SJD) and about one hour from La Paz. Renting a four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle is recommended.
Local Wildlife
El Pescadero is home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including whales, roadrunners, and hummingbirds. Guests should also be aware that iguanas, scorpions, spiders, and other insects may occasionally be present.
As a precaution, keep open bags closed and avoid leaving shoes on the floor.
Seasonal Information
From November through March, evenings can be quite cool. Guests are encouraged to bring a sweatshirt or poncho.
From July 1 through November 1, the exterior lounge area with cushions and the tent will be closed due to the possibility of rain.

The house itself and the grounds are really nice. The property is well-maintained, and features a pool area that looks like the photos. But the photos make the place look more upscale than it is. It’s a bit more rustic. However, prospective guests should be aware of the surrounding area and environmental factors. The house is located directly next to horse stables, which unfortunately means a significant presence of flies and bugs. Between the flies during the day and the mosquitoes at night, sitting outside or enjoying the pool area was next to impossible, which was a major drawback for us. Additionally, the surrounding neighborhood in Pescadero is very much a desert area undergoing haphazard development. Most of the farms are gone and in their place are barren fields full of trash or housing developments. The local infrastructure is poor, the dirt roads are rough, and there is a noticeable amount of trash everywhere. It is far from a paradise that it once was unfortunately.

Incredible place. As many have said, pictures don’t do the place justice. The pool is heavenly. The location is amazing. Very walkable to a few amazing restaurants and the beach. And close drive to so much more. There is a horse smell occasionally, which none of our party minded. We found it charming to have them so close. Worth noting that the bathrooms do not have proper doors, so something to consider but was fine for the couples on our trip. Hosts were excellent. Very responsive and generous with recommendations. One of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in.

Casa de Zorros was so comfortable and peaceful. The photos don’t even do justice to the size and beauty of the place. We had everything we needed, felt very safe, and were within walking distance of a great restaurant and cafe, and only a few minutes drive from the local markets. It was also fun to see all the colorful birds atop the cacti and feed the horses next door, and the earthy smell didn’t bother us at all. The pool is a perfect temperature for both day and night swimming, and we made a fire each night in the living room. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay. The house is truly exceptional, if anything, it’s even more beautiful than the photos. The design is stunning, with incredible attention to detail and high-quality materials throughout. Everything was immaculate and perfectly maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The setting is wonderfully peaceful and quiet, and the nearby beach just down the road is really nice and completely empty, which made it feel very special. Ditte and Federico were very warm and welcoming hosts. This is without a doubt the best villa we’ve ever rented on Airbnb. Honestly, I could see myself living there, it’s the house of my dreams!
